Redken makes a product called CAT. It is a heavy duty conditioning/nourishing treatment that you can use about once week. I've been using it for years. I have very curly colored hair. I also use a smoothing product to keep the curls in check and it also helps to tame the frizz.

I have seen the comercial, it's like an oil shampoo. I'm intrigue to try it, google it I'm sure you'll find it. They just call it conditioner but it does cleanse the hair.

It is a cleansing conditioner. It contains none of the detergents or other harsh chemicals that cause traditional shampoo to lather. It cleans just as good plus it conditions at the same time. You don't need conditioner with it. It takes a bit of getting used to. My husband and I stayed at a hotel over valentine's weekend and I used the "herbal organic" shampoo and conditioner they had because I forgot mine. My hair was so frizzy after using that shampoo and conditioner just once. I don't think I will ever go back to regular shampoo as long as they make Wen.

Also love SpaRitual Nail polish! Another vegen product and outlasts any polish on the market - that I've tried.

I think you need to start from the inside out. Try a supplement with Biotin it works wonders for hair and nails. Also Pantene makes a shampoo and conditioner called Beautiful Lengths that I have heard is good.

I have long "virgin hair" too. I get compliments all the time and strangers wanting to touch it! Creepy! I use Aveda smooth infusion(tm) kit. hair care. Aveda - products that nurture. I go back and forth between the smooth and shampure, and damage remedy.
I learned that some conditioners just don't have the moisture to prevent breakage in long hair and found what works for me. I only use Aveda products on my hair and while it is $$ it goes a long way because they are so effective, and animal friendly

If you go to a store or an Aveda concept salon there are sample size products you can try to find out what works for you. And if you are really feeling like splurging try the liquid exfoliator, heaven.
