LMAO - I was also chased, almost daily (before my accident, of course) by a 3-legged Dalmatian. He was so mean, and so damned fast w/only 3 legs.

I dogs of all breeds. Cats, now that's a different story. Yes, I have met dogs that I don't like, but it's never been because of their breed or appearance. I'm not very judgemental when it comes to looks, that goes for both animals and people. Personality is what counts. Otherwise, I wouldn't have that snorting, bug-eyed and smooshed face Pug in my avatar. I've never really known a shi-tzu, so I can't comment specifically on them.

LOL I'm the same way. I do hate when people don't properly groom their dogs, so they shed a TON... or if they drool a lot on me or Scruffs (I don't mind if the dog drools, as long as it doesn't wipe it on me!).. I like all dogs if they are well behaved!!! I also don't like when dogs bark a lot or jump on you. It gets annoying. I must mention that Scruffs best friend is a Pug, and he does not drool or have eye goobers or shed too much. I love that dog .

Looks-wise, pugs, french bulldogs, etc. do nothing for me. I don't think they're cute and I don't care for the snuffling and snorting, either.

Personality-wise, yes, I know they can be sweet, but I do not trust pit bulls and probably never will. Too many stories about them being fine for a long time and then eating the cat or the small dog one day. No thanks. I have cats so I would not even bring a larger dog in - the Chorkie is fine because she is smaller than they are and so they don't seem to see her as any kind of threat.

I worked in dog boarding and the breed that did the worst were Cocker Spaniels. I feel sorry for them, though, it's not meanness, it's that they are freaked out of their minds in a kennel situation and become cage-aggressive quickly.

I agree. I think its all down to the individual dog. If a dog is well trained and mannered then I don't mind.

I hate to say it but I am not fond of pitbulls. I had a horrible expierence with one and it killed my cat right infront of my eyes and I will NEVER forget it. No matter what I tried it took 2 men and myself to get that dog off my cat, but it was too late. Horrible Horrible memory.

I don't think I dislike any breed, I think they are all beautiful in their own way, and if a dog is bad I blame the owner. As for pugs, pekingese, bulldogs, love that "ugly cute" look!

I'm not big on Jack Russells! JRT's are always so annoying at the dog park, they pester, annoy and boss the other dogs around. They all seem to nip and bite, lol. My dad has a Jack Russell/shihtzu mix (but she's mostly jack russell) and while she can be a sweetheart, she's a mean little thing. She's bitten me a few times, she's always growling or barking at something, and they're just sooo hyper. It's not necessarily her fault but her owners but I dunno, the breed always rubs me the wrong way. However, with that said, the JRT Jesse on YouTube is awesome, cute and smart! I'm definitely not against ANY breed and do think the owner is a big part of it. Most JRT's at the dog park have owners that just allow them to do whatever so it's not their fault.

All the JRT I see at the park we go to are great. They're the *only* ones able to keep up w/Pippi (she still outruns them all). But, she's a bigger girl, just over 12 pounds. Also, most (not all) are really handled & trained. I have found them to be really smart! Also, when I used to ride, JRs were the only guys to keep up - too bad I didn't have Pippi then!

Oh, and to clarify: I do not hate any breed. I'm just not overly fond of a few, but mostly just one

Well, you're lucky! LOL. It's odd to see a well behaved Jack Russell around here. There ARE a few though and Jackson does love to run, so sometimes it's good having a JR for him to run around with, tires him out more!

Oh I wanted to add Min Pin's are usually dogs with attitude problems at our dog park, lol. There's these 2 really mean Min Pin's.

I find the Pug's to all be really sweet, they're cute in an ugly way (imo!) I can usually find something cute about every dog though.

I pretty much love all breeds...I can't really think of one I can't stand . I recently took in a Pit Bull (stray) and she is a big puddle of love GOO .

By the way, can I ask you a favor? I have worked a lot w/ Developmentally Disabled adults and children -- and that field fought *so hard* decades ago against using the word "retarded" because of the negative connotation that word came to mean. I know you probably didn't mean anything by it, but it really can hurt people when using it (similar to using certain racial slurs instead more sensitive terms)...so I just felt compelled to mention this - as this community of people is very dear to me since I've worked with them very closely.
