Looks-wise, pugs, french bulldogs, etc. do nothing for me. I don't think they're cute and I don't care for the snuffling and snorting, either.
Personality-wise, yes, I know they can be sweet, but I do not trust pit bulls and probably never will. Too many stories about them being fine for a long time and then eating the cat or the small dog one day. No thanks. I have cats so I would not even bring a larger dog in - the Chorkie is fine because she is smaller than they are and so they don't seem to see her as any kind of threat.
I worked in dog boarding and the breed that did the worst were Cocker Spaniels. I feel sorry for them, though, it's not meanness, it's that they are freaked out of their minds in a kennel situation and become cage-aggressive quickly. |
