well, i don't know why the OP didn't care for shih tzus, but like i mentioned before, i've only heard really nice things about shih tzus and this is the first time i have heard someone say negative things about shih tzus. honestly, i have heard more negative things people say about yorkies. :p
people have called my milu a rat, a ankle biter. both times while i was present. and i also had people comment that they do NOT like small dogs. honestly, their comments didn't bother me though, because i think milu is just the cutest thing in the world, in fact, when someone said "ankle biter" under their breath, i laughed out loud! because it was so funny to me that someone could say something mean about a dog so cute. (so i thought clearly this person was joking:rolleyes:)
i think people have negative opinions about a certain breed mostly because of ignorance or personal experience with ONE bad dog that happened to be a certain breed. but i guess that still means the person is ignorant if they can make a generalization of a whole breed based on ONE dog they met.
as far as ppl who dislike what a certain breed look like. i guess i am ok with that. ppl have their preferences. just need to remember, you can be hurting someone's feelings when you make statements like that, and is it worth it? i have said something about chihuahuas before, but i was kind of asked about it, even then i still felt bad saying something.
