| Auto Accident My husband was involved in a bad auto accident it will be 2 years in Feb., anyway the reason I'm posting about this is that the trial for the drunk driver that hit him is coming up next week and the DA ask me for the pictures I took of his car afterwards and it brought up so many memories. I'm going to post a few of them just to let you guys know how bad of an accident this was and how lucky we are to still have my husband here. I cried again as I looked at these pictures. As they say a picture is worth a 1000 words. His accident happened at the top of our street he was stopped waiting on the traffic to die down enough to turn on our street. The first picture you can see where the man hit him in the rear and knocked him into oncoming traffic, he did a complete 360 and ended up exactly where he started at.

| My mom lost her mother in an accident like that. A dumb drunk driver killed her when my mom was only 16. I wish I was able to meet my grandmother... I am so happy your husband was ok. HE IS SO BLESSED!

I've always told him that. We bought the car from my grandparents. I've always been especially close to them as if they were my own parents. Anyway, my grandmother died almost 2 years before this accident and it was her car and I told him that she was right there with him looking out for him making sure that he came out of it ok. He kept telling me he was sorry about the car he knew that it had sentimental value for me. I drove it before we got the car that I currently drive. I told him that the car is replaceable that he wasn't. This was the guys third offense I think. I know he had at least one prior to this. After he hit my husband he ran and a lady that works at the small industrial park across from our house saw this and followed him and then came and told the police what kind of car it was and they found him a little while later. They also told us that they had several calls from drivers that had reported him because of his erratic(sp) driving and they had been looking for him for a while. I will keep everyone posted on the outcome of the trial.

| Did your husband walk away unhurt? I hope so,, he must have angels watching over him like me sister. She has totalled 2 new cars with in a year apart and just got into another accident with my mom just about a month ago. The first one, she walked away without a scratch. Just a face full of powder for the airbag. The 2nd one she hurt her back and neck and this last one she got a pretty good gash to the head and hurt both knees. But she is fine now. A bit sore but soon forgot her accident pain because it was replaced my labor pains 3 days later. It must have been a nightmare and seeing pictures after all this time,,, well give you hubby a big hug and thank God he's with you today!

No he did not walk away unhurt. From where he was wearing his seat belt and of course the force of the accident he had deep chest bruising that bothered him for about 6 months. He also had to have 2 screws put in his ankle to repair it so he has a lot of trouble out of it. And will from now on.

| Wow, Sheila your husband really had angels protecting him that day. I really hope the drunk driver get the toughest sentence available. He deserve to be in jail and loose his driving privileges. |
