Try sawing off the legs if it has legs.... then your hubby can just screw them back on. that may give you the few inches you need..... he should take off the door frame, it's not that hard to take it off and put it back on.

I agree!! I thought doorways came in two sizes, standard and french, but they comes in several different sizes. Who knew?????

I know what you are going through! We bought a new Fridge,and my DH measured and said the new one will fit. Well guess what...we couldn't get it through the door! Our neighbor came over to help and was no help. We finally called the salesman and he came right over. We had to remove the door handles. and it just fit in the door. After we got the ice & water connected, it did not fit in the space. I was so discouraged. My DH had to remove the baseboard molding and finally it fit, just barely! I sure hope you can figure out a way to get that sofa inside! Best of luck!!

My neighbor bought a set and didn't think about it till they got home and couldn't get it in the house. Her hubby had to remove the front room window. Yep he was a happy man.....NOT!

I had a similar problem but I got mine through the window finally

Was it expensive to have the window removed and replaced? Did you have to hire people to do the window as well as people to move the sofa? Could you tell that the window had been removed after it had been replaced?

My neighbors hubby did it himself, that's part of why he was really mad. Extra work didn't set well. If your hubby isn't handy or has no window experience I'd ask friends/neighbors who know windows for help. Hiring a window person could be spendy but then if they break it they fix it.
