| Here is another ghost story that the kids reminded me of last night. First I have to give a little background. My husband and I have a very large group of friends and every year over Columbus Day weekend (yeap coming up ) we take a big camping trip to the Shawnee National Forest in Southern IL. My husband and his buddies have been going down each year since they were in high school and as they got married so then the wives and kids going along for this annual camping trip. We rough camp but its a total blast. One of our friends always pulls a flat bed trailer down with most of our gear; our tents, coolers, cooking supplies, etc. but the cool part about him doing this is that once it was unloaded a local farmer would give up hay from his barn and it would them become a hay ride for the kids. Each year it became more and more fun because the kids grew and they would go off and explore, hike, bb guns with beer cans, camp fires, and GHOST Stories . This particular year, the oldest kids were in high school and at the young end kindergarten but I have to say they all still piled into the trailer for our night adventures. We always stay in the same camp ground and we see a lot of the same faces each year but this year we met a new camper and his name was Randy. He was a local and had his boys with him and he was sure the site towering over the kids he was a great big bear of a man. No shirt, great big belly, missing most of his teeth, overalls with only one suspender fastened and boy did he have the kids mesmerized with his ghost stories of the forest! On the first night of our camping trip is when Randy the Redneck (I know not PC people but that's his name ) gathered the kids around the campfire to begin to spin his web of tales. I have to say that I have never seen so many kids of all different ages, mouths hanging, eye as big as saucers, just scared out of their minds . When he was finished with all of the local folklore the kids were begging to go and check it out! When it gets dark in the forest you cannot see the hand in front of your face but off we went to the cemetery across the road to find Mary! Over the years we had explored this cemetery many times but NEVER in the dark but with much pleading off we went. The legend of Mary was that she had died young while crossing the country to get to CA for the gold rush. If you walked in a circle 3 times around her headstone and chanted "Mary please come out to play" and then knocked 3 times on her headstone she would rise out of her grave and if you smelled your hand it would smell like roses. We piled about 40 kids into the trailer to go find Mary! This was going to be GOOD!!!!!

| So off we went with a trailer full of kids to look for Mary in the cemetery. Just to get a little better picture of what this really looked like, we had a trailer full of hay, 35 kids ranging in age from about 5 yr all the way up to 16 yr old I was driving and my husband is sitting shotgun We didn't have to go far just right out of the camp ground and maybe 2 blocks. It's pitch black and slowly pull up to the cemetery armed with flashlights to look for Mary's headstone. It's a very small cemetery and only about 20 feet off the dirt road so we didn't have far to go once we got there. Of course *I* stayed behind to comfort all of the little ones that are now bawling their eyes out and Tom got out of the van with the rest of the kids. So they all walk over to Mary's grave and Tom lead the circling and chant "Mary come out to play" around they go 3 times then Tom knocks! One, two, three! Nothing! But they hear something rustling over in the trees and then a voice!!!!!! Now they are running and pushing each other to get back inside the trailer and something or someone is chasing behind them!!!!!! Kids are screaming and crying! Now I see something BIG AND WHITE coming at us! OMG! It's a guy in a sheet! WTF! It's Randy the Redneck pulling a prank on all of us *Totally true story!

| Senior Yorkie Talker | so something happened to me that im really not sure of.. yall know that show paranormal state?? there was an episode about a girl that was getting attached by a demon with the name starting with "m". (i dont want to say the name)... this thing has scratched her back, thrown her around the room, raped her , and has tried killing her a few times. as i was watching this show i wanted to look up the demons name just to verify what the paranormal state peoples demonology professional (lorraine?) was saying about it.. everything i read was the very same. well that ngiht i went to bed with no dreams that i could remember. but sometime around 3am i got a pain, kinda like a deep scratch all the way down my back that woke me up. i woke up my boyfriend asking him why he scratch me and that it really hurt. he told me that he didnt and to go back to sleep.. i was too scared to get up and look at my back (if the scratch was there i didnt want to provoke something) so im not sure if it was actually there or if i had a dream and felt the pain through my dream. ..?? i dont know. the whole thing REALLY freaked me out.

| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | The white sheet prank reminded me of something that happened to my sister and I. We were talking with our brother and his friend about fears. My sister and I said we always turned off the light at night and jumped into bed so the boogie man under the bed couldn't get us. Later he and his friend got under our beds ( my sister and I shared a room) and as we went to get in bed they grabbed us by the ankles and tried to pull us under. I was so scared I tried to scream and all that came out was air. My sister was the same I think, the boys thought it was funny.
