I think a pale grey or a chocolate brown would be pretty if your current color doesnt work out! Love the comforter.

The color I chose makes the room look real dull. I don't know if it's because I have a white chair rail. I'll see if they can add another color to it.

Your bedspread is beautiful. I agree with Nancy, taupe would be beautiful.
You can paint the chair rail white since white is also in the spread.
I think taupe, white and red are beautiful together.
I just painted my bedroom taupe. There are so many different color's in that
range. They now have little bottles, $3.00 as samples to try on the wall.
I forget the color I used but I used it with blue, white and taupe spread
with accent pillows of taupe.
Have fun, I love decorating. Post pictures when your done.

I agree the white chair rail would be great with the taupe and spread.

To the OP, if you ever watch any of those decorating show, very often when the room has been freshly painted, it does look dull, and I think why did they pick that color? But when the room comes together with accessories, and different textures, the room takes on a whole different feeling. HTTV's Candice Olson, (I love her) is especially good at this, the room's wall aren't really the focal point, but set something else off in the room to make it the focal point.
