| Just thinking outloud.... Today when I was taking Sam and Martin out, the neighbor dog came over for a visit. We love her so please dont take this the wrong way. She is an older dog, I have no idea how old but she is up there in age. She has been ran over, they didnt take her to vet and in fact was going to shoot her. But she got better on her own. They feed her cat food. She eats bones. She never goes to the vet, she is ALWAYS outside regardles of the weather. She knows she can come over for a warm blanket, out of the rain, food, water, treat, or whatever. The kids play with her, she is a faithful old dog always following the kids and such. It just got me thinking about my Charlie. He was very pampered, well taken care of, shots up to date, medicine when needed, etc and he got sick. It was horrible when I had to let him go. I guess what Im not saying, its just not fair (for a lack of a better description) that here I did everything I could for him and couldnt save him and here they are with their pet that they do NOTHING for And no I am not saying something should happen to her because thats not what I mean bc I love her to pieces. I kept her for them when their house burned. I guess Im just missing my Charlie Barley.

| I wish I could reach through the screen here and give you a big hug. You have every right to miss your Charlie. You gave him your everything, and you are missing him, and questioning the justice here. There isn't any, except for the fact that your dog next door needs your love just as much as you loved Charlie. Thats why she comes over for a warm blanket, treat, food, and just some comfort. She knows that you will be there for her, and maybe Charlie is sending her over to see you for a little love. Try to take some comfort in that if it is possible. I am so sorry for your loss of Charlie.

| I understand exactly how you feel. I found myself getting bitter towards other Yorkie owners after we lost our Boog dog...we did everything we could and money never became an issue but we still had to let him go. It just didn't seem fair. |

| I know exactly what you mean. Even with the skin kids. There are those moms who allow their kids to walk around barefoot in a store, lick the wagon etc... and my kids who are very well cared for. Those kids who don't have the shoes on are never sick. My kids on the other hand get sick. Go figure

| Twalla, I wonder that too sometimes! I think its a perfectly natural thing to wonder! I wonder it about humans! Why is my mom sick when she always took such good care of her health. She didn't smoke, didn't really drink, always kept in shape, drank her 8 glasses of water a day, kept active and busy and yet she got sick. Then I see someone who chained smoked, is an alcoholic, tries to commit suicide (this is my aunt) and gets her doctors tests back and she is healthy as a horse! Life does not seem fair sometimes! Whatcha gonna do! You deal with the hand you were dealt! I'm sorry about Charlie. I lost a little one and I know the pain, it can stay for a very long time and the guilt and the what ifs... Charlie is still in your heart and thats the best place for him to be!

| I know exactly what you mean. It's just not fair. Your neighbor's dog is so lucky to have you. Without you, I can't imagine how much worse her life would be.
