| Need answers... I am in the process of booking a flight for my parents to come up to see me & the kids. I have found an inexpensive flight with US Airway. I haven't booked yet but need to...my question to you is ~ Has anyone booked a flight with them and reserved a spot for a dog through US Airways? My mom will be taking a puppy (Yorkie) back with her. The customer service person told me I can book the flight then call to reserve. I think I need to know what is the % that I am going to then have a problem getting this pup on the flight with them when it comes time to board. Hoping someone can ease my mind before I commit to these tickets.

| Thank you.... that does help ease my mind. They are from Kentucky but will be flying into Nashville, Tn. It is one of my puppies so I will be the one taking care of the health certificate. I didn't even think of that ~ thanks!

| Oh! By the way they aren't required to have their rabies under 7 months of age.

| I've never flown any of my puppies. I did have both Zoe and Peppee flown in but didn't really think about the process. As far as the health certificate... is this a special paper to be filled out by the vet.. like one that I need to print off or pick up from the airport or is it something that the vet will have on hand? Sorry to sound dumb.. I just don't want any surprises come the day that have to go back.

| This is what I found, have you asked the airlines how many are allowed? It's always been one in the cabin when I have flown but some airlines are different. US Airways | Pets

| i am not sure of the airlibne you are booking but when I have escorted my puppies in cabin, I have never been asked for a health certificate or anything. I always have one of course for the buyers anyway. Also when booking with a credit card online, I have booked my flight then as mary said, call the airline to get the pet added. I always print off my boarding passes online also. it always shows the pet is paid for and on the credit card receipt, it is paid for also. Mine have always been paid in advance and I have never ever been questioned about it or asked to pay when checking in. Wherre in Ky do your parents live. I can be at Nashville in five hours from Central Kentucky. About the time it takes to fly from lexington or Louisville, by the time you check in and wait, board and wait some more. |

| Mary, here in kentucky, the vet has to give a rabies shot if the pup flying is 14 weeks old. I have had to do it many times and I hate it. if the pup is to young, he always writes it on the certificate. |

| Thanks everyone for all your help. I did get the tickets ordered and talked to a rep who reserved the spot for the pup.. whew, now I just have to take to vet before she is to leave to get the health certificate. Easy enough! Thanks again!
