i am not sure of the airlibne you are booking but when I have escorted my puppies in cabin, I have never been asked for a health certificate or anything. I always have one of course for the buyers anyway. Also when booking with a credit card online, I have booked my flight then as mary said, call the airline to get the pet added. I always print off my boarding passes online also. it always shows the pet is paid for and on the credit card receipt, it is paid for also. Mine have always been paid in advance and I have never ever been questioned about it or asked to pay when checking in. Wherre in Ky do your parents live. I can be at Nashville in five hours from Central Kentucky. About the time it takes to fly from lexington or Louisville, by the time you check in and wait, board and wait some more.
