Pet Peeves- whats yours??

I don't want to seem rude. Oh you hybrids are in high demand right now, LOL!!! If it's older asian people, they usually just take a stab and guess. Their guess is usually what they are.
It really does get on my nerves, though, especially since I've been asked that for as long as I can remember!

How do you prefer people to ask you? Would you rather them just ask what race you are or do you have a different word? (I think people don't like to say anything that even comes close to the word "racist," which is why they're hesitant to ask me my race.) If it's a friend's friend or a customer that is around my age, we usually just say "What are you?" When it's on a friend level it's not really rude even though it totally sounds rude, but we know what we mean.

ETA: By the way, are you full or half? Or a quarter ... etc.?
I have gotten Japanese, Korean, Filipino, Thai, only sometimes Chinese but to get technical I am half Hong Kong cantonese and half Taiwanese! So... basically I'm chinese

Okay. I thought of a few.

-When you get a test done at your doctor's office and they don't call you back in a reasonable amount of time with the results.

-When you call a business, and the receptionist is a total jerk to you. (I got chewed out yesterday by the school secretary when I asked for a copy of my son's shot records. She got an attitude and said she's not a secretarial service.)

-When my husband keeps hitting the snooze button over and over.

When it's a friend or someone I've known for a while, I'll make fun of them a little for asking me my nationality, but if it's someone who has the "yellow fever" I'm less nice.

LOL we're so hard to pin down. Who knows what we are?

When I'm in the US, I get Mexican or some kind of Asian.
When I'm in Korea, I get Mexican or Russian or Icelandic. Oh, and once this Puerto Rican guy started talking to me in Spanish (in Korea!!) and when I told him I didn't speak Spanish he said, "What?! You can't speak you're own language?!"
I have no idea.

My pet peeves are:

1. When someone puts in their photo, "Mary and I", please use "and I" correctly. It should be "Mary and me"... unless you are going to continue on with a sentence such as, "Mary and I were at Planet Hollywood."

2. Different color hangers.

3. Misspelled words and poor grammar.

4. Drivers that likes to weave in and out of lanes while in bumper to bumper traffic.

5. When my bf hits the snooze button over and over too! lol (totally agree with hviola)

I HATE it when they drive SLOW on the FAST lane!! Get out of my way!!
I also HATE it when they press on their brakes...for NO reason!!

Guilty!! haha. I get so paranoid when I'm on the highway. Whenever I'm going around a bend and I'm going faster than 50 I pretty much stand on my brakes.

I have another one. My neighbor across the street sits in his driveway and revvs his motorcycle. He does it for HOURS at a time over and over and over again! it is SOOO annoying. I swear the man can't really ride it - he just likes to listen to it!

also, people who fly down the street at 2 in the morning. This is my first time living on a main street - I've always lived on back roads that no one used - the speed limit is 35. but in the middle of the night people will FLY - 60 or more - down the road and it always wakes me up.

Me too! LOL. I do HATE wire hangers though, and I do not know why they are still around. I run into one every now and then in old boxes and throw them out.
