Pet Peeves- whats yours??

Arrgghhh....this makes me insane. People do it around here and it has nothing to do with looking to see where they are turning! Some people just have a need to drive 10 miles per hour (literally) and then stop at every intersection. Sorry, that's when I lay on the horn.

I had a situation like that, but better. I just got done throw all of two or three bags in my car and was gonna throw my coat or something else in it, then turn around and put my cart away. I notice someone's car behind me and they HONK! Seriously?! You couldn't wait 5 seconds for me to get out of the way and you have to honk?! So aggravating!!! I was also annoyed because someone was in the parking lot blasting their music for the entire world to hear, which is another pet peeve of mine. Be considerate and turn down your music to a dull roar. Not everyone in the world wants to hear your music.

I walked to the car after leaving our daughter inside to pick up a prescription to get the Dr's number to call to ask a question. I sat in the car and dialed the Dr and next thing I know a lady is honking for me to back out. I had no intention of leaving yet. She honked three times before parking further down. When she walked behind my car she yelled at me. By this time I'm mad so I get out and yell I can wait for my daughter if I want to! She got this look on her face like Oh crap she's getting out of her car, then you could see the light go off in her head when she heard what I said. It never occured to her that I might be waiting for someone and not ready to leave yet.

I hate it when every single person who comes in my shop has to ask me how business is! You know it sucks, why do you have to ask??? I say "Same as everywhere else" They say "Yea slow huh?" IF YOU ALREADY KNEW WHY'D YOU ASK!!!

I'm starting to feel like I could be someones pet peeve ! I have a few of my own:
1. Not having enough money to fix something when it breaks.
2. People who try to squeeze in and out of traffic.
3. My Mom drops something and wants me to pick it up for her.
4. Mumbling
5. Drama
6. Hubby snoring
7. Son missing the toilet, how many times do you have to tell him to aim the thing?
8. Weeds
9. Parents at the kids sporting events, just let the kids play a game geez!
10. That I feel like a *B* for complaining about all the things that bug me!
11. That my list is way longer then this and I could go on and on.

How come everyone that comes in wants to only buy the stuff that's not for sale??? It's for display only!!! We have a handcarved teak chair that is for trying on shoes. Our mirrors are for the people who try on a thousand pairs of sunglasses and then not buy any. The hand carved wall hanging, that's for decoration. My dressforms are not for sale. Uni's bed is not for sale. Uni is DEF NOT FOR SALE!

And when I tell them they aren't for sale, they get all disappointed, like they were totally going to buy it. I bet if it actually were for sale they still wouldn't buy it.

Speaking of businesses, I hated when there would be a sign on top of rake, specifying the price and then the customer would turn around and say "How much is this?" I don't know, why don't you look up a little and find out. Or when they bring a bunch of items up to the register and ask you after you ring up each item how much it was. Or when they start digging through stuff you just rang up and totally mess up everything. Or my largest pet peeve - when they pick something up, look at it, decide they want it, so they walk to the other side of the rack, or maybe the next rack over, then decide the item they thought they wanted, the really didn't want, so they just place it where they are standing. Seriously, you can't take two steps back around the rack and put it where it belongs? Do you think I have NOTHING to do today other than clean up your messes?! Oh another pet peeve about working at an outside mall - it's a Sunday at 6 PM in the summer. People still want to shop and you literally have to stand in front of the door to make sure people don't sneak in as someone is leaving. Or the people that bang on your door 30 minutes before opening to shop, then when you tell them you aren't open, they beg to come in anyways. Yes, I used to work retail.

Have you seen that movie Clerks, the first one??? There's a scene with a girl standing underneath a HUGE sign that says $0.99 and she goes "So how much is this anyways?"
