| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | My brother is divorced, but for the last 8 years he's been dealing with a nasty (to say the least) ex wive, from calling the police to my brothers house because her girl was not home yet, to cause him of been a violent person. The advise from his lawyer was, to record and document, every single incident, even if it looks insignificant. All the best to you and your husband, and hope that the court will look for the child's best interest

| gosh i feel your pain and i hope you get some resolution soon! ![]() having gone through a not-so-nice divorce myself, i know how frustrating and worrysome any issue can be made out to be and we did not even have children. my ex is a state trooper and it completely creeps me out that he could still get all my personal information anytime he wanted

| Definately a HIPPA violation. The insurance company needs to be reported to the HIPPA police. You can probably bring legal action against the insurance company for doing this. (dont quote me-but the doctors office I work for has said that HIPPA violation reporting is encouraged and financial compensation offered to the patient to encourage the patients to report all incidences). I'd be furious...The ex-wife who opened the package probably knew it was medication and was being nosey, but hard to prove it. I'd be more worried about the insurance co giving out sensitive information and medication than the ex-wife though.....The insurance co needs to be held responsible for this. |

| YT 1000 Club Member | As far as I understand it no should ever open any mail that doesn't have their name on it. I won't even open my kids mail (unless they were too young to do it at the time) just out of respect for them as well as it being a law issue. If they ask me to open and read it over the phone I will but other than that I was raised and taught at home and at school that yes it is a federal offense and it's disrespectful. You've gotten some very good input and advice here and I hope it helps. Bless you for loving someone with an ex such as what your dealing with. It can't be easy!

I was taught that same way. My parents never opened my mail unless I asked them to if I wasn't home (like when I was away at college) or something like that. I also know that people do make honest mistakes, but I just don't think that happened in this instance. Thanks for your input! It is appreciated!
