Jon & Kate Plus 8

I am a self-confessed J&K+8 addict, but here lately... wow, Kate HAS really gotten snobby acting. I saw her at a church here in my hometown, and have been a little put-off by her since then. Interesting to see that others have noticed the same changes.

BTW, what happened to Beth??? She just up and disappeared a while back- and she was getting to be quite the regular on there too.

Well from what the blogs say it says that Beth asked if she could get paid a little for being on the show and that Kate said absolutely not, that only her and Jon get paid!

Whimpy & B#@%* plus $$$$$$$$ (the 8 little bank accounts)

I use to watch the show but could never get past Kate's attitude and Jon's pathetic and lazy nature (does he EVER work? ) The kids are adorable and while they have been blessed with many things /trips from the show ( which is a good thing)the trade off on their privacy was to much. Kate should have had rules , such as no bathroom shots, from the very beginning.

I understand them doing the show to make money for the kids but think now its not about her saving for the kids as much as her getting perks for herself on the backs of her children.

omg you are all very harsh. can you imagine if that was your life? I read Jon & Kate's book after Christmas and was very moved by it. She has been through so much and who knows if rumors are true when it comes to tv. i know people change sometimes from having money and fame, but if you read there book you might have a different attitude.
And for her being a snob.......well I guess that's what i would fall under too if I had that many kids because I like things scheduled and routines.....and I get very aggravated when things are thrown off just like Kate does. I have a time to eat every day, a time for everything, just like Kate. I try to be organized and I'm sure with as many kids as she has it would be total chaos if she didn't have some organization. And as for Jon.......sometimes guys just don't get it and the way she talks to him well she is hard on him sometimes, but you know that some of these men.........including mine you have to be very blunt and straight forward with them and it looks like your fussing at them when your just telling them what they need to do to help you with the kids.

I don't know I really like the show and she stated in her book that she was raising her kids with Christian values and the tv show was not going to tell her how to raise her kids. which i agree. They only film 4 days a week and when it comes to the outside family she said in the book that they don't want to be on camera. And i can't blame them.

This is just my opinion and I really don't know how i would act if i was put in that situation, but you all need to give them a break somewhat.......life is hard and maybe that was the best decision for them at the time was to do the tv show for money. I just don't believe some of those rumors going around about them having problems, which i may be wrong.

I have recently seen her too and I was really surprised at how cool she seemed. I was very disappointed. I don't really know what I was expecting but it wasn't what I got. She basically just recapped her book which I had already read. I'm glad I didn't pay to see her.

But I think the one thing that really turned me off was the episode where they told the kids they were getting the two dogs and all the kids were so excited sitting around the kitchen table and they said "thank your for getting us puppies" all at the same time and she said "you're not welcome" I just thought that was down right ignorant. It certainly doesn't say much for teaching your children about being gracious, thankful, and I could go on an on. Whether it was for show, the cameras or what--I just thought it was wrong and certainly not cute.

I don't know how I would react either because I would never sell my child's privacy. As far as how she speaks to her husband I also can't relate. I love and respect my husband as my best friend. I would not even be married to someone whom I respected so little that I thought I had to talk to him in a demeaning manner in order for him to "get it".

I really try not to judge and give benefit of doubt, BUT being a mother of 3, i dont have time to read a book, much less write one!! I wouldnt read to much into what she states in her book anyway because it was edited and Im sure she paid special attention to detail, again to make herself "look" good.

I think a lot of people hide behind their religion...and she just may be one of those people. "Good christian values" wouldnt that be honoring her husband and treating him with respect?? I've seen her put him down because of his weight, because of his bald spot, and treats him like he's ignorant. He refuses to argue with her on t.v....and frankly I think he's the better person for it as he is showing respect for his family.

The episode of embarassing moments-one of his was the time where he told her to get the "stick out of her butt" (or something like that)........ROFLMAO Someone finally said it!!

How bout the episode where she's fussing her daugter "dont let my pillow touch the floor-you know how I feel about my pillow" and repeated it several times...OCD.

She should just RELAX and quit throwing fits over stupid stuff that doesnt even matter. I truly think she has OCD and should be medicated haha.

Yep, that was a classic! I had to actually rewind a couple times and make sure that was what I heard. That was wrong in so many ways. Was she trying to be funny? I don't think so.... she said it like she meant it.

I havent seen the puppies episode....but think i will be looking for the reruns.

At the beginning of the shows-Kate said she agreed to do the show so she'd have the memories recorded because they didnt have time to, but now I think its continued because of the money.

Wow, the "octumom" stuff is getting old, so it's time to find someone else to target!
Sometimes people just need to find something to bitch about I guess. Perhaps putting down other people's family lives, which are probably more functional than most, makes one feel better about their own lives?
I know, lets talk about Ozzy and Sharon Osbornes family. Oh they must be saints because they only had 2 children and didn't try to make themselves out to be good people at all

I think when you agree to be on a television show and open up your life to the public, you have to expect people will give opinions. That's part of agreeing and being paid to be on television...you open yourself up for it.
As for Octo-Mom, if she was paying her own way and not getting donations and freebies, I would say we should all mind our own business...but when "we" the public support her and her children and her lifestyle...I think we are entitled to our opinions. She invited the media in for interviews for public consumption, as well.

Very true!!! If you dont want the public eye commenting on your family--why make it all public?? They invite it everytime you hear "on the next episode of Jon & Kate plus 8".

I cant say Jon and Kate are any more or less functional than anyone elses family. Everyone's family has issues to some extent--everyone!!! Nobody is perfect.

There has been plenty said about Ozzy and Sharon- everyone has a right to an opinion and if you put your family on TV, everyone is going to have one. I couldn't care less how many kids anyone chooses to have but if you put your family on my television set- guess what? I'll form an opinion. Kate comes across as a disgusting, mean woman. If she doesn't want the public to judge her, she probably should stop pimping out her family. Jon is guilty of being weak, but I don't think he stands a chance against that wretched woman.

Ozzy and Sharon have 3 children , the other one does not want to be televised and stays out of the spot light.. See if you don't want to be talked about stay out of the spot light, it can be done!
