Next week -Rat Pack Standards Sinatra/Martin/Sammy Davis

Wow, they are going to sing the Rat Pack's songs. American Idol chooses some interesting genres. I am not familiar with the Rat Pack's songs. It is going to be interesting to see the contestants give these songs a contemporary sound, especially since they are young. I am trying to imagine Allison and Adam singing one of the Rat Packs songs.

These songs will be great, never fear. I can see Allison and Adam singing Sammy Davis and even Adam singing Sinatra. I can't wait!! If Kris picks the right one, this could be great for him.

Little David A. did a pretty good job but it didn't sound as good as it does on his CD. He is a cutie isn't he. Did any of you think his moves have improved a bit? It looks like he has been coached on them. He is still a but amateurish but his smile overcomes that! AND I saw him licking his lips only once during the performance. Bet his dad broke him of that habit!

I have a kid in her early 20's that loves Sinatra. So I guess it means you have good taste.

Nancy, you didn't hear that. Serious though I bet he could do it justice but maybe not like singing it.

I'm sure Adam will pull it off I think he can sing anything especially if he makes some tasteful changes to it. He could take an old song and make it his own, as long as he doesn't make it a rock song he'll be ok.

Awww... thanks so much for the compliment but I was referring more to my age.

I remember the rat pack well! That's great to hear of someone as young as your daughter a fan of Sinatra and I would definitely say that she has good taste.

I've been here off and on the past week or so, just haven't posted much. Wish I could say that I've been on a tropic isle.

I agree and I really hope that he leaves the high notes out. There's so many Sinatra/Davis/Martin songs out there and it's going to be interesting to see what they do.
