Even though I thought Megan was unique, I agree that it was her turn to go. At least she will get to go on the tour for a year. I wonder what that is like for them. Have any of you ever been to a idol concert with all the finalists? I wonder how many concerts they do during the year. Megan seems thrilled that she would get to go home and be with her daughter.

I have never been to one of their concerts but I'm sure other have.

Okay, Here comes the Confession! Dh and I go to concerts.All different kinds, it's our thing. He became obsessed with David Cook last year after he sang Billy Jean. One day he came home and told me he had gotten tickets for the Idol tour when they were in Hartford Ct. The concert was really great. Quite a mix in the audience, Lots of families and Single woman, I was surprised at how many couples our age were there. Mid late 50's. They started with a group thing and then one by one they came out and sang a song from 10 down. There were a few duets, and the Davids did more than one song each. Screaming girls and everything. I doubt we would do it again for this group. It's funny how each year the group has a personality as a whole.

Tell your husband I am with him on the 'Billy Jean' song. I would have gone for that group also if I had the chance.

It sounds like fun. I have never been to a concert except about 25 ago I went to a small Willie Nelson concert and another one with Marty Robbins, Jerry Lee Lewis and others country stars. I wonder how David A. is doing. I really liked that kid. I really enjoyed seeing David Cook last night. I liked the song but my husband did not.

I bought the David Cook CD for dh when it came out. He wasn't crazy about it! He said all the songs sounded the same and he does that yelling thing.
I think we are spoiled as far as albums go, growing up with concept albums, Where the songs are carefully placed and lead into each other. I guess that is the artist he was figured to be And the demographic he appeals to. I like it on my Ipod though, when it mixes up and you dont have to listen to it all in a row.
It is the only cd I've purchased of any AI artist.
I haven't seen much of David A. I do enjoy seeing the past Idols return and talk about the experience.
The American Idol Machine amazes me.

It was the same here, I liked the song but my husband didn't.

We really change as we get older, don't we? We use to go to concerts but have only been to two or three since seeing Elvis in concert the year before he died.

I went to several rock concerts in my teens but that was many years ago.

What the heck was Megan thinking when she did that whole arm flapping and cawing noise...it made her look really silly. She's has such a beautiful face but when she did that whole bird imitation it made me see her in a whole different light (and it's not a good one). I wasn't a big fan of Megan, she had her good and bad days. But the last 2x she performed, I was really disappointed. I'm glad to see her go.

As for Allison, I was really surprised to see her on the bottom 3. Maybe she needs to tone down her looks or something b/c the last outfit she wore looked like she just came off the Flintsone set.

BTW, I've been to last AI concert in Atlantic City, NJ and loved it!!! I was a big fan of Archuleta. He has such an amazing voice and when he performed he got a standing ovation. I just picked up his CD and I hope he does well with his album sale. I also like Cook, but I'm more of an Archuleta fan.

I went to the American Idol concert with a bunch of friends for work in season two with Clay Aiken. We couldn't see alot because we were high up and it was packed, but we really enjoyed it!

I was wondering what might have happened during the week for Megan to make that remark to Simon, she seemed mad as the evening started! Did anyone hear anything???

Megan knew she was going home. She just decided to go out with sarcasm and humor (If you call the chicken thing humorous.) And I think Allison sang like she had a sore throat. There is a nasty flu going around AI people right now.
