| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Although it was private property, and not the place for a legal protest, sometimes you have to bend the rules for an important cause. Unfortunately, the activities of some animal rights groups have turned off many people to listen to any protest. These girls didn't stop or interfere with customers wanting to access the store, and they weren't throwing things on them. It was a peaceful protest. I'm not sure why the man was handled so roughly, perhaps he was the one on the loud speaker, but the way they treated him was pretty much the same way puppy mill dogs are treated. On the other hand, what were the security cops suppose to do? They want to keep their jobs.

| Yes, but the security guard stood and watched those girls protest for an extended period of time and they were not escorted out, regardless of when backup came.

| Too all of you that replied to my post cant get that multi post thing yet)If I had a business next door to that pet store, I would have called the police and not left it to the "security guards". Those girls were totally obnoxious and if I were a customer, I would turn around a go a different way. And , yes, they are on the same level as the military funeral hecklers. There are other ways of getting ones point across. I agree with their points of view, I just dont agree with the tactics they use. Wheres Paul Blart when you need him!!!LOL

| Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I'm sorry - I guess I just don't understand how you can compare them to the jerks who protest at military funerals. I'm not trying to argue or anything. This just really baffled me and I'd like to understand your way of thinking. There is a huge difference between being annoying protestors and what the people who protest military funerals do. and, most protests are pretty annoying. If people just stood around staring at each other it wouldn't get the point across very well lol. the idea is to bring attention to it, not get as little attention as possible.

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I guess I'm willing to be a little annoyed so that important topics will be brought to my attention. Protesters have done a lot to get this country where it is today. I think we would still be under England's rule if nobody believed in protesting. How about women's voting rights, don't you think those women must have been annoying parading around bringing scads of attention to themselves? The protesters of the 60's got us out of the Vietnam War, and they were annoying too. To me this was a well-executed protest, nobody was hurt or endangered, just annoyed. Not sure about the male protester, I don't, know if he was hurt, but that's one of the drawbacks of protesting. He probably was asked to leave peacefully and refused, and this made better video. The mall has every right to remove those people breaking the rules, and with video cameras the message was probably relayed on their local news channels so that people were made aware of the problem. Before we can fix the roof, we have to know there is a leak.
