| I have had both in the past. They are comfy, but it really depends on the "age" and agility of all involved in sitting in them. My father could not get out without help. My children were younger and would PLOP down and would soon start breaking the rattan/bamboo. Also the backs on mine didn't "lock" in but would slip alot. Not sure if it was because it was not a really high end or what. We ended up tieing them in place with zip-locks. The pads are very important. Make sure that they are washable and very very full. All mine broke down FAST!! and were the over-stuffed ones. Good luck. I did love mine, just didn't last long.

| Sorry. Tried to edit but would not let me. They were locked in with the plastic zip-ties.

| Oh wow, you're making me nostalgic. I had one in my very first apartment. It was a single and since I was a girl in her first apartment it was pink.

| Mine was from Pier 1 and the quality was very good for the price. This was 18 yrs ago though so my opinions on them have probably expired. I remember it was quite cozy to sit in.

| You worried me. Earlier this morning I saw that you responded to this thread and I was afraid you were going to say you currently had one.

| Nostalgia lane for me too! I had one in my first apartment 24 years ago (seems like yesterday, sort of.. ok more like day-before-yesterday). I too got mine at Pier 1. I got rid of it in the late 80's, it started breaking. But it was nice for when I had it. I'd not have another. They take up alot of space. |

| Do you have small children? My girls used to turn it over and cage their little brother. We had one for years. As has been said some people have a problem getting out of them, my father in law tipped ours over trying to get out-he never sat in it again.

| I have one from pier 1, it's a single. I love it, and have had it for awhile. It's in storage until we get our own place again but when we had it out Duke loved sleeping in it too.

| I bought a double in 1990 from Pier I and we (DD & I) used it for 8 years, then it went to my sister's house for her kids. 3 or 4 years ago she bought a new pad for it and it's still in use in her son's "cave". The frame has held up real well.
