Girl on their part it came down to the almighty dollar. They got paid and didn't care one whit. I think any sort of fertility procedure or major medical procedure should have counseling. When I wanted my tubes tied after my son (who was my 3rd child) the Dr. had to counsel me to see if I was in the right frame of mind to do the procedure.

Nah that is a fat pregnancy nose. Some folks when they get preggers (I am one of them) their face is the first thing that starts getting fat. That nose is from being pregnant. Not sure what to make of the lips. :rolleyes:

Come on now. Let's wake up and smell the coffee!! Where to start......I am the 9th of 10 children and I know first hand what it was like fighting for attention...ANY attention. My Dad worked too many hours and my Mom was exhausted. There is NO WAY one person can give the care and attention needed to 14 children all by herself.

I AM one of the welfare Mom's that all you tax payers are paying for. Out of necessity. Not want. Believe it! I have a severely disabled 15 year old son. He is autistic, epileptic and is fed 24/7 via a gastric pump. Understand I'm not complaining one bit. He IS my life. I knew when he was 10 months old that he had issues and had my tubes tied. Having a child on the "spectrum", how can you honestly say that she could care for all 14?? Why in hell did she want more children. She already had 6 and one autistic. Not only will that child not get the attention he will desperately need, but there is a good chance that others may also be on the spectrum. Genetically that's a fact. THAT is what's got me upset.

Incredibly selfish!!! I can only hope and pray that Child Protective Services does a thorough investigation before allowing those prescious babies to go home with her.

One more thing. She CHOSE to have the babies and live off the system. Not fair to the taxpayer OR my son. We are on the system out of necessity. As of Jan/09 many of his medications and supplies are no longer paid for by the "system". I can barely get by on the $900 we get a month and have to ask family to pay for things. So yes, myself and taxpayer absolutely have the right to be pissed!

Honey as you said you are on there out of necessity. I have no issues with that. But when it comes to people scamming the system that really works my nerves. It's horrible that she can take advantage and it makes it harder for folks like yourself that really should have the help.

I know in the case of my two friends that have autistic sons they refused to have more children for fear that it would happen again. Obviously she has no such thought function. Hopefully by the grace of god those babies won't suffer from any genetic or other ailments due to her selfish reasoning.

My niece is expecting twins (naturally) in a few weeks. She lives in the Boston area. Her daycare alone is going to be over $400 a WEEK!!

I too believe she is mentally ill. Just seeing a tad of her interview this morning showed me that she's not in tune with reality. So sad.

Doubt she will be able to find a daycare that can take on that many infants at once. They have a limit of toddlers and babies that they can have per adult in the place. So she will definitely be paying out the patootie. In NY for an infant it's $250 a week per child. When they are potty trained it goes down to like $175.

I'm not a taxpayer anymore. I'm a taker and couldn't agree with you more. I actually got sick to my stomach reading this thread. She CHOSE to have those babies without a care of how they would be taken care of. Yet my son, who so desperately needs the help is getting cut.

All we can do is hope and pray CPS steps in. Not just for the 8, but all 14:angel2dl:

I agree and it's very obvious that she's had a nose job too. I truly believe that she did it for money and she will get it before it's over through various deals. This whole case is nuts!

From a cost stance honestly it's way better for everyone including the tax payers if your at home with your son in this case. The cost of all the round the clock care and attention your son would need if you were working definitely would cost way more than the small check your getting.

I want to see what she will do when her money gets cut even further as the economy is in such a state. I think in her case and the case of folks trying that stupidity to get over they should get a max amount. If you choose to keep having children then your kind of a$$ out because you will only be given so much help. It's a hard line because while we despise her stupidity and selfishness we wouldn't want to see the babies without and hungry.

Part of her greed is not going to get her anywhere. I was reading that usually by the time they deliver and word gets out companies will jump on the bandwagon for the free publicity. She is getting no such offers from the diaper companies or the baby food companies or even stores. Everyone is pinching pennies and they said they think many companies don't want to be associated with her because of the public outcry about the situation.

Thank you for your honesty. The same thing crossed my mind about having even more special needs children. It' bound to happen with the number and weights of these little ones. My daughter has three children and the last was born with multiple and some rare birth defects. I have witnessed first hand what it takes to tend to their daughters needs and the two other children pay a price for it. Ainsley is also tube fed and has a trach and numerous other medical issues that need to be dealt with. I know what it takes financially as well as emotionallly to care for them. I hope you have no guilt in being taken care of by the system as you are doing something so important in caring for you child. Many years ago they were place in institutions and we all know they do not receive the love and care they need. I admire anyone who can do what you are doing for your son. We all know what it takes to take of a child with special needs and this woman put herself and these children at a very high risk. For the children's sake, I hope I'm wrong and they will all be healthy!!!

True!!!! Did you know that her parents only have 3 bedrooms!!!! The doctor is being investigated, and may face charges. Why would he do this, knowing her situation. Single + 6 kids + 8 babies + a strong probably of some special needs infants / kids + very little education + unable to live on her own = WELFARE!!!!!! We pay for her stupidity. Her children are the innocent victims.

I think the big lips are from the swelling and weight gain from pregnancy, time will tell.

Now that is just the height of selfishness. Why should your family, friends and church have to help you. Why should you continue to have children if you have to figure out how to get by? That is so unfair to those children that she might just be able to get by if her family, friends and church members help her out.

I just hope it all dies down and she doesn't get a bunch of money going on talk shows etc. I think those babies should be adopted out to people that can afford them and give them a good life. She is such a loser and I feel sorry for all the kids!! PATHETIC!!

You know what also slays me?

When you are a parent of any child (let alone, a single parent) - don't you want to do EVERYTHING you possibly can to ensure the safety and care of that child? With that in mind, how can a single parent with SIX children knowingly have multiple embryos implanted -- without any consideration as to the risks to her current children? At any time, her uterus could have ruptured with this type of pregnancy - she could have lost her life and left her six children completely without a parent. But did she seem to care? Apparently, NO.

That alone to me is gross negligence and colossal selfishness. She would risk her own life for her own gain rather than put her six children first. Yeah, she's a real "child expert".

I think department of Social services needs to step in and take everone of those kids from her. She needs a psychiatrist and if you don't have a big enough house for these kids to be raised in, then until she can afford one, she doesn't deserve to have these children.

Her lawyer was saying it's not to be blamed on her as she has been away from the kids for two months. Go figure both her parents can't manage to keep up with the six..how can she do it all on her own with fourteen.

Even if she is not there I think CPS should get involved. I feel bad for the Grandmother but the kids shouldnt be living like that. If it was anyone else theyd already be involved

I think in my state there is a law saying that there is only allowed 2 people per bedroom... their house has what? 3 bedrooms?
