Okay....Here is the gross negligence and incompitence of this woman...I just typed up this short segment from her interview. Q: Did he tell you about the risk to your heart? A: Absolutely. Q: To the risk that your uterus would rupture? A: Oh, sure. Q: The risk of cerebral palsy to the children? A: Oh, yeah. Q: The risk of developmental problems -- A: Yes Q: -- as they grow up? A: Uh-huh. Q: He told you all this? A: Yes, yes. Q: And you went ahead? A: The only reason I went ahead is it's not like it was anything different. WOW...that's all I gotta say :( |
Of course these things are all wrong but this woman was depressed and in need of mental help.....I think this Dr. is every bit or more at fault for not getting her help and should have his license taken away:( |
I just stumbled on this thread and did not take the time to read the whole thing. This lady is not stable, she had the first 6 by fertility drugs as well, she's not married and lives at home with her parents!!! I am so glad they are investigating her doctor, I can't believe he did this again and even after her parents pleaded with him not to and told him that she would not be able to take care of anymore children than she already had. I feel so sorry for these poor babies. |
This gets more bizarre daily and I hope CPS steps in and I also think the Dr. should be charged. This woman is clearly unstable and my heart breaks for those poor children. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. |
i saw her interview. She seems nice and like she really loves them and just wanted a big family cause she was a lonely child but she is clearly in need of some medical help |

I just found this: 'Octomom' Unstable Here’s a shocker: The mother who just gave birth to in-vitro octuplets absolutely loves children. But it seems Nadya Suleman’s new publicist has a lot more explaining to do. The mother of 14 is unemployed, lives in her parents’ house, and has a history of mental instability. Now some are questioning the ethics of the Suleman family, who say they’re entertaining numerous high-dollar interview offers from TV networks and publishers. Others are criticizing the doctor who ignored the standard medical practice of implanting no more than two embryos in a 33-year-old woman. For her part, Suleman told NBC’s Ann Curry she grew up an only child and has always “only wanted children.” She got her wish. Read it at New York Post |

The mom of these children was just on ABC. She stated that she always wanted as many children as possible, no matter the cost. Her mother (the grandmother of the children) was interviewed as well and said that her daughter has no means to support those children...the grandparents are the sole providers!!!! |

Q: To the risk that your uterus would rupture? You don't hear of this too much but it does happen. Someone my daughter knows just lost their wife due to this. Their baby was delivered at 27wks and is fighting for her life in the intensive care unit. This poor 33yr old woman also leaves behind 3 sons. She was not a "At Risk Pregnacy" however it happened. |
Im with the rest of you that this lady is nuts and I feel really bad for all of those children, but honestly its going to take alot more than just a dirty house to get cps involved. :( especially if the grandparents are taking care of the other children more the mom. We had a case in my area that the cps was called because the child involved was living in a nasty cat feces/urine filled house, she went to school dirty and smelling like cat urine and they had garbage everywhere..CPS was called to the house on 3 separate occasions, they found alot of animals, including chickens (in cages)in the kitchen, but the house was "clean enough", the kid was clean enough and she was not in ill health, no signs of abuse and she was fed at least 2 meals a day. The parents were given a warning all 3 times to keep the chickens out of the kitchen and to make sure that the cats stayed out of the little girls room and to keep her clothes clean. This fall, the little girl was found dead. :(. Apparently the step brother that was living there, killed her. However when the cops showed up.. they found the house in horrendous condition.. they had over 100 cats in the house, including dead kittens in the freezer, piles of cat poo everywhere, they found many poultry living in the house, and the little girl was literally living in a "caged room". She should of been removed from the house the first visit from the CPS!! Who in thier right mind, thinks keeping chickens in the house is normal!! So unfortunly in most cases having a dirty house isnt enough to take a child from the home. In this case, I think if the granparents truly move out like they state because of the mom's unstable and known mental issues those kids may be removed. |
What a hot mess..here is more information revealed.... Here are some excerpts that I just found...OMG is all I can say. This mess is just beyond me: Last night, the Los Angeles Times reported Suleman was already getting $490 a month in food stamps to help feed her first six kids, three of whom are disabled and receiving other federal assistance. Suleman had told NBC News correspondent Ann Curry that she wasn't getting welfare. "They are part of programs designed to help people with need, and she does not see that as welfare," said her publicist, Michael Furtney. Suleman said all six of her in-vitro-fertilization pregnancies, including one set of twins, were done by the same clinic, West Coast Fertility in Beverly Hills. She contends that in each instance, Dr. Michael Kamrava, the clinic's sole practitioner, transferred six embryos into her uterus, and in the most recent instance, two embryos divided into pairs of identical twins and all eight implanted in her uterus This doctor definitely needs to lose his license. She said for all her IVF treatments the doctor implanted 6 embryos. So they continued to play russian roulett for all of her implantations. Also it's obvious we the tax payers are supporting her children. She is getting foodstamps, obviously medical insurance and she gets disability checks for a few of the children. So I am not sure where she can say she provides for her children and not us. The conditions they are living in is deplorable. It just sickens me that these new babies will be going home to this nut job who will probably have more children again. I am sorry but you already have three disabled children (we know one has Autism) and you think it's ok to have more children. Obviously something is wrong that you had three children with special needs aleady..not one but three. So you choose to have more children with the possibility that it can happen again. I too agree that she seems to be living in "La La Land". Love the response that she will make it work and god will provide. Well you know god is good but god helps those that help themselves. Her mentality is all wrong and it's rediculous to think she should have her way and everyone including god is held accountable for her actions. |
It makes me sick to my stomach to think a doctor out there has given this very sick woman more children. I think he was just trying to make a name for himself. Hopefully it will put him behind bars! The thought that 14 innocent children are at risk for foster homes and a less than happy and healthy life is heartbreaking. Both should be brought up on criminal charges and child abuse! Don't for get to watch "Her Story" on dateling tonight at 10:00 pm. |

LOL I know it's upsetting. I can't wait to hear her stupid answer's. Someone has to get her out of La-La Land and into reality! I saw the babies on E Hollywood last night. They are beautiful but they are still to small to detect any problems. Poor little ones. Their future looks so questionable at this time. Just when you think you've seen and heard it all something like this pops up! Pathetic story. |

There was another segment on NBC this morning and they said that deals are already coming in but some of the companies that usually provide for other cases are backing off. They also had a clip of her with one of the other children and the Dr. from several years ago. Very sad. |
ooppps had a double post, had to delete it |

I read that the Dr. would know immediately that there would be eight. Ethics come into play once they are implanted but the fact is they never should have been implanted. All that Dr. saw was $$$ signs. I think he should have to pay for their care.....just a dream on my part which would never happen. This investigation will get him jail time I am sure. If I was the grandmother/grandfather I'd write and book but quick. How else are they going to pay for all this even with some help from the government. Please God don't tell me the book was planned before this all happened. |
She is,in my opinion, a selfish woman. I have 3 children and to get everything they "NEED" is very expensive, then to have seperate time with each and time together is nearly impossible.A child needs their parents time and with all these children there is no time. She was thinking about her own wants,,not whats best for her children. |

She had a healthly baby girl 6months ago, Amelia's cousin. |
My understanding is the eggs were already fertilized and then implanted in her. Who knows if this this part is correct but I heard when the donor married and started his own family he asked her not to use his sperm any longer. Surprise!!! Eight more!!! Hope she doesn't try to get child support from him. |
