| My dogs love the fleece blanket. I make small ones to send homw with each of my puppies. I let all the puppies sleep on them so it smells like the litter and is comforting to them in their new homes. My buyers all say that the puppies quiet down when they have their blankets. |

What a wonderful idea! Very thoughtful of you, and I'm sure it makes the puppies' adjustment easier.

| Hancock's had a lot of prints to choose from that it was hard to decide but was limited to the solid colors of the same weight and both were on sale. Some 50% off and some were 40% off. I chose one with a soft yellow background with a lion's face in browns (very cute) on it and a solid brown lining. I took pictures but they were blurred so I'll try again later. They had 2 on display, one with knots and one without. The u-tube video looks pretty simple with the balloon tie so I might try that one first. Now if I can just get it made.

| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | You guys won't believe this. I just got home and laid out the material. Instantly my cat jumped on it and he wants to roll around on it. We'll this has really upset my baby boy....hehe.. He is running all over the place trying to get the cat off the fleece material. And when the cat does get off and tried to get on again he fly's down off the couch and goes off...LOL He has claimed this blanket and I haven't even started it... It is just to funny! You should see him guarding it now... |

| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Okay, I finished my first one. It is a train print and I am not crazy about it. I might give it to my nephews because they love trains. I enjoyed making the blanket, but I have a question. It seemed when cutting the fringe it was really hard to cut into straight lines. Is this normal? And since the fabric stretched really easy it was really hard for me to cut straight corners...hehe.. I am not good at straight lines. I need some practice. |

| Well, personally, I think it looks great! All this talk of fleece blankets, I bought some more fleece today to make another one. It's a material I've seen at Walmart, camo frogs. lol I thought it was cute. I bought enough to make one for Maximus and one for a baby shower coming up. I just need to find complimentary fleece for the back.

In the video it looked like she took a post-it pad or something like that as a "pattern" for the corners. I'm not that great at cutting straight lines either, but I think that's what so great about this project, it seems so forgiving. Did you use scissors or your cutting tool? Also she used a measuring yard, when she was cutting the strips, and it looked like that would be helpful. Moses looks so sweet in the pictures, I love the fourth one, what a cute expression. Great job!

We'll I used the rotarty tool to cut out cardboard for the edges but it wasn't that straight. And it just seemed easier to use scissors when cutting the fringe. You NO I didn't use the yard stick but I am going to get one for the next one. I also did not measure the flannel pieces out before I started. I think I am going to do that next time to. They may not have been even. It is very forgiving. I know that all of the slits that I cut for the fringes probably were not the same but for the most part it looks pretty good. Yea, he seemed to like getting his picture taken on the new blanket. ![]() It is a really easy project and it really doesn't take that much time. I would rather use a table than the floor which is what I did.....LOL | |

On the squares, I try to cut at least one as straight as I can, and then use the scrap as a guide for the other corners. I wish I had one of those big cutting tables like they have at the fabric stores. It would be SO much easier. lol
