I have seen pics of many well-done blankets!!! ......... but they all have been the double-sided ones. Has anyone made the one-sided one yet? I have some flannel material with a pretty print on both sides and thought it might be fun to do a "lighter weight" one for spring. Can anyone show me pics of their "one sided" blankets? Thanks!!!!!

hmm.. I don't know how to do this. I would think there would have to be two sides...maybe Emilyann would know...

What's easier to make?

You can make a one sided one. My friend made one. She just did a simple knot on each fringe.

Okay, thats what I figured, you just have the one piece and cut it like you were using two pieces and then make the knot. Does anyone have a pictuire of one??

Normally one side of the fabric is a little dull.

LOVE THOSE! they are my fav since i can actually do it! I have made a no sew pillow as well! they are awesome!!

Never made a one-sided blanket, I would fear it wouldn't hold up as well as the double-sided... I would love to see pictures though! Are you sure it's flannel or is it fleece? I hope it's fleece, flannel won't hold up like fleece does. Fleece doesn't fray and flannel does, flannel is pretty much the same as cotton fabric when you cut it. Let us know how it goes!!!!

If you want another way to make the bed is to get a pillow the size you want the bed place it between the two pieces of material after cut and then tie together!!!

Ooops!!....... I DID say flannel, but it is FLEECE that I have!!!

I agree, that flannel might not work very well!!!

honestly I recommend the 2 sides blanket and it is really easy to make..

Ladies, you have all gotten me motivated to get going on making blankies with the fleece I have in my sewing room. I just purchased and folding cutting board today from Joann's.com and with the current 40% off coupon including shipping it ran only 10.50....Can't wait to get it so that I can start making blankets once again...may even give it a shot and making a few beds also...

where did you get that coupon? Mail? What kind of fabric do you have? you need to post pics, and make sure to post the pic when you have finished the blankie..
