| Need your advice Here's the deal-I sold dishes on eBay for $81.00. They were brand new in the box. I packaged them very well. Wrote fragile all over the box. Made the buyer get insurance and delivery confirmation. She claims some were broken. She filed an insurance claim with USPS, but it was denied. I am going to appeal, but if I don't win, here are my questions. Please answer honestly, I need advice. 1. Should I be responsible for refunding all her money even though I'm now out the dishes? 2. Should she compromise and I refund half? I've already offered this to her, but haven't heard back yet. 3. Should I let her file a Paypal claim and see what happens if she doesn't accept my offer? (Anyone have to deal with something like this on Paypal?) PS. I've learned my lesson and will never sell fragile items on eBay again.

| Did she say why USPS insurance denied her claim? I havent been thru this but I would first want proof that her claim was denied and why.

| I think you should refund her money in full. Did she send you a picture of the broken dishes? ETA: How weird that ALL of the dishes would break. If this isn't the case, maybe a partial refund is due unless she sends them back to you.

| She actually sent me a scan of the denial and it said it was denied due to improper packaging, which is BS b/c I made especially sure that I packaged it right.

Can you tell me why she should get a full refund and I should be out all the money? Just curious.

| Nicole - did the PO have specifics on how to pkg? I've never seen them if they do. That's why you had her buy insurance. Also, maybe you should contact eBay and ask them what they think you should do. They'll be objective and the transaction went through them. Good Luck!

Yes, she's a little doll, isn't she? My heart just breaks for her and all the other missing children.

I was surprised that the PO declined either. They would be admitting they did something wrong, then!

| I ran out of editing time.. How could they say they weren't packed correctly if they were in the original, unopened packaging?

| Yes, but I'm not a huge corporation. That's my point.

| Well, the dishes where in the original box and never opened. Then I put that box in another box with bubble wrap, Styrofoam, etc. She denied my offer of half back, so no doubt she'll file a claim with Paypal. That's the only way she may get a full refund. She has to also send the dishes back to me. We'll see what happens.
