| Should I go to the doctor? Alright, I am about up to my wits end with this. Probably contributing to my sassy-ness on YT lately I have been getting the WORST (not migraine) headaches throughout the past week. I can feel one starting right now. By tonight, it will be horrible, if it's anything like the last four I have had this week! I *think* it's a sinus headache but I'm not congested anymore than my normal allergies and no runny nose.... I have been ending up taking something at night to make me go to sleep, then I wake up and I'm fine, but then by the afternoon I can feel it creeping up. Do I need to see a doctor? Will they be able to do anything? Someone help I'm going crazy here!!

| Ah sweetie! I'm so sorry, and yes, it does sound like you need to see a doctor. I mentioned something similar during a routine doctor's visit for another reason, and it turned out that I had a very serious sinus infection. If this has continued for more than a few days, you need to go to the doctor. Hopefully it's nothing, but at the very least you can get some prescription-strength allergy meds. Get well soon!

Donating YT 10K Club Member | My daughter gets "cycle related" migraine headaches. The doctor prescribed Imitrex ....and it's been the only thing that works.

| I have Immitrex for migraines but it doesn't work for these which means they aren't migraines. Thanks Judy, I needed a YT mommy to tell me to go

| Well this YT mommy is telling you to go too! I was having the same problem, I have bad allergies and just thought I would have to get tough and suck it up, but they would kill me, not a full migraine but close to it, they put me on Maxalt-MLT and they have worked great, they are when you can feel a bad headache coming on just take it and it works, and I did have a really bad sinus infection also. SO GO to the doctor

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | The first things I thought of are this: Have you had a recent eye exam? Alot of times strain on your eyes will give you headaches. Also, have you had your blood pressure checked? If your blood pressure is high, it can cause painful headaches--I know about both of these things! |

| You need to see a doctor for a check-up and a nice long chat. Until you can get in, though, try taking a BC arthritis powder - in fact take a double - they almost always work for me. |

| It definitely sounds like a sinus infection. They only way to get rid of it is strong antibiotics. I'm sorry - I know it hurts! I have bad sinuses - I had to do 3 rounds of AB's last spring and I think I feel another one coming on. I would go now before it gets worse. It won't feel like a cold or regular congestion, it just HURTS in your face, under your eyes, forehead, even your ears... I hope you feel better!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Sinus headaches suck!!! I've had migraines also, but these sinus headaches are the worst. The pressure and my eye sockets ache also. I got a nettipot. It's salt wash you suck up your nose. It sounds gross, but it is the only thing I'll use. Sinus meds give me balloon head..I'm a blonde already...hehe.

| Could be a different kind of headache-tension, cluster...and there are more. It's best to get it checked out, and make sure the headache isn't indicative of another problem. I get migraines occasionally too-Imitrex worked for awhile until I turned up allergic to it one time! It was scary! Then they gave me Maxalt, which I have only taken a couple times.
