Most Embarrassing Moments?!?!?!

When my daughter was about 4, we went shopping at the craft store. The lady working the register was very tall with a deep voice. She asked my daughter if she would like a free piece of candy. My daughter responded by asking her right to her face..."Are you a boy or a girl?" I was mortified because it was really a pretty legitimate question. I paid super fast and hauled ass out of there.

Oh my gosh. It was just so embarrassing. I am the kind of person who gives a bad name to Wendy's employees. I could just see him at home talking to his wife/significant other "You won't believe the idiot who was working the drive through tonight!"

Gosh. It was the first time I've ever "talked back" to a customer...and of course he was right. Figures.

I can imagine you doing it which is making me laugh even more. I picture you at the window tapping your foot in annoyance and then sighing very loudly as you snatch the calculator up, lean out the window and start bashing the buttons to show the customer the "correct" calculation while he's sat there with his smug look waiting for you to realise!

I don't think I've been to a drive tru in a long time and not left and complained about the person serving.

Except that he didn't have an accent and say words like "trolley." If he had, maybe I would have been nicer.

I can't believe I'm gonna post this but most people have stopped reading this so I think I'm safe...

When I was little, maybe 4 or 5(?), my parents had gone to a store and were at a service desk and to keep me out of trouble they sat me on the counter. I decided then was an appropriate moment to loudly pass wind! I then looked directly at my Dad and loudly said "ohhh Daddy!" so everyone thought it was him! My Mum loves to remind me of that and since I've had Amelia she must remind me at least once a month!

Now I'm laughing harder! The reason I picture it is because I had something similar happen to me before and I acted the exact same way!

LOL! You're description of it made ME cackle - and you were dead on. Were you on the giving or recieving end?

And yes I do quite love your trolley word. We only say "trolley" when talking about the trian like things (trollies) that would go down the middle of streets in California and what not. and I love that you spell realized with an s.

I was on the giving end too. I used to work at the gas station in my village and I was serving this guy who had just put fuel in his car. When he came into pay I misread the screen on the till and told him his total and he told me I was wrong and it a different amount. I again told him the total and again corrected me and I signed and turn the screen out to show him. I pointed at the total amount and again said it came to this amount and he said... "I don't want to have to tell you how to do your job but that is the total amount of litres I've put in my car and not the price!" There was other people in the store too. I mumbled the correct amount and took the money. When the other person came up to till they said to me, "Some people are so rude, he didn't need to talk to you like that!" The didn't realise that I'd been the one in the wrong!

Hmmm, is the british accent like a second voice in your head? Cuz if it is I'd consider consulting a doctor.

Oh and the trolley thing... is that not the same as a tram???

When my oldest dtr was about 5, she wanted knickers for xmas so I took her to see Santa to tell him. She climbed up on his lap, gave him a big hug and kissed him on the cheek and with all the sweetness she could muster, and loud enough for all the people in line to hear, she said "Santa, could you please bring me a pair of knockers?". Did you know Santa's face can change to the color of his coat? And, so can my mine. Oh, and just to let you know - be very careful of what you ask Santa for - sometimes he comes thru in a reallllllllyyyyy big way .
