| We always do a turkey or turkey breast...but we also do another "meat" (because there are several who do not like turkey). We have had smoked brisket or cornish hens, etc. And we usually keep the sides all the same: cranberry sauce, green and black olives, dinner rolls, steamed carrots w/ parsley, my mothers dressing, bacon wrapped green beans, potatoes & gravy, sweet potatoes w/ marshmellows. AND a lot of desserts: pumpkin pie (always), cream pies, apple and/or cherry pie, etc.

Paula Deen's lemon blossoms are very, very good and her orange something or other (sorry) bars. They are really summery though. Then her toffee brownies are okay and I have heard her gooey toffey butter cake is excellent.

| Everything sounds soooo good! We do everything that has been listed but last time I made broccoli francaise for veggie and it was a hit so will do it again. Blanche the broccoli, dip in egg then shake in bag with italian bread crumbs and parmesean cheese. Just fry in pan w/ a little oil for til browned. It is great! Happy Turkey day everyone!! morrislaz |

| I have to work on Thanksgiving so I will be staying home but my fiance is going with his parents to his aunt's house for lunch. Apparently, the future in-laws feel bad about me being left out so they've decided to make it back in time for me to cook supper for them. Here is what I think will be on the menu: steak on the grill cheesy corn and potato casserole Cooks.com - Recipe - Cheesy Corn And Potato Casserole rolls chocolate caramel net salad Chocolate Caramel Nut Salad - Allrecipes peanut butter brownie cookies Jif® Recipes - Peanut Butter Brownie Cookies I think that's it. I don't want to have to spend a whole lot of time in the kitchen after being on my feet all day at work. I'm planning on making the salad and cookies tomorrow afternoon and preparing the casserole so I just have to pop it in the oven Thursday evening.
