| ![]() Ryan and I went to a candlelight ceremony for some soldiers that were in my brother troop that were killed a few days ago, tonite. It was heartbreaking to see those families. I went to support my brothers friends family. My brother grew up with this guy named Coy. They have known each other since they were 7 years old. They were in the same troop over in Iraq. Coy was killed. I went to school with Coys older sister. Its heartbreaking to see those families who have lost thier loved ones. It was a beautiful ceremony though. Just wanted to share. |

| ![]() Thanks girls. I wasn't going to share that we went to this but saw all the controvesial posts about Sheehan so i thought that I would. Its really hard knowing that these people so close to us have lost thier loved ones. And my little brother stood no more than 5 feet from the one kid that was killed when he died. |

| ![]() OMG! Its flashbacks of Vietnam all over again, at least now our soldiers are treated with the respect they deserve and people realize it's not their fault they are fighting in a war not everyone believes in. These people will never be the same again once they come home. My heart goes out to everyone who has a loved one involved and each one of those loved ones so far away and in such danger. I don't know how many of you are old enough to remember that awful time when our country was so torn apart by a war, when people were fighting each other in sweet America over their viewpoints. Irregardless of your stand - at least now, people are rallying behind the men and women in the forces who are doing what they are told to do and sacrificing everything. My first husband was a Vietnam vet, he came back an alcoholic and drug addict, he was never happy again, and he died at age 42 of cancer related to agent orange. What did his son get out of it? A military funeral and a footstone,no daddy at 9 years old and the possibility of one day getting cancer related to agent orange.

| ![]() Thank you for bringing to light that there is a proper way to honor our military men and women. I definitely do not want my son coming back home after a year in Iraq and feeling like he didn't have the support of the American people whose lives he is ready to put before his own. I hate that our men and women in Iraq do have occassion to get on the Internet and I pray that none of them sees the hoopla that is going on in America right now. It is not good for their morale. I want my son able to do his job to the best of his ability -- if he falters because he thinks they don't have our support, it could cost him his life! Thanks again!! Semper Fi
