| Cane Corsos can be great dogs, but I would strongly reccomend against them as a companion to any smaller breed. By nature Canes are very dominent dogs. Many Cane Corsos will not tolerate another dog of the same sex, and some won't tolerate the opposite sex either. Some Cane Corsos have strong instincts to chase and seize cats, small dogs and other fleeing creatures. If anything goes wrong in the breeding, socializing, training, handling, or management of this breed, it is capable of seriously injuring or killing other animals. In my opinion it is a completely inappropriate choice to pair with a yorkie if you are looking at a rescue with a history you are not fully aware of. A golden on the other hand would be great!!!

| AWWWWWWWWWW that goldie so SO FREAKING ADORABLE!! We have a rescued golden and she is the best dog I think we'll ever have. Notice I said dog, not yorkie ![]() Well, the good news is that older goldens tend to take a long time to adopt out, so you have a while to grate on (was it dh or bf?) and get your way! How could he actually say no to that face?!?!?! DONT GIVE UP! Just do what I do- talk about her for a couple days- make sure you judge his reactions and don't let it get to the point where he shuts down about it. Then, after a couple days of him saying no, you need to say (in a small, sad voice) "I know you're right.. it's just that the look on her face breaks my heart, and we could give her such a good home." Stay sad and give him a big hug and then just be quiet for the rest of the afternoon. Pretty soon he'll say "if you really want her than you can get her." Worked for me just last Sunday- Ryder is coming home Thursday!!!! <Good luck!>

| lol Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately, that stuff doesn't work for him. lol He has a cast iron heart. I love him to death though. I know in a few months i'll have a golden. It'll just take a litle time. ![]() Quote:
