Duke is the same. I have been trying to get .3cc
in him every hour because his weight dropped a tad.
I am giving an antibiotic twice a day for his lungs.
He is pooping and peeing well. I will have to take him
to work with me tonight. I am a private duty RN and
the clients do not mind at all. Peanut always went to
work with me.

How long of a flight would it be?? If he is that small couldn't you just sneak him on?? Just a thought. I'm in Texas so I would help if you was coming through here.

I'm not sure about the length of the flight.... or about whether spending the money (which no one has, to begin with) to try and sneak him - would be worth the risk of "getting caught" and "tossed off the plane", haha....

Just received from Ruth....

Dena, I am sorry, but he is dying in front of my eyes.
Weight is now 1.7. Hardly any respiratory efforts.
Color is bad. Loosing body heat even on the pad
with blankets

Really, what would be the difference in that and what you are doing now? It wouldn't have to be on a large scale and seems like it would solve alot of your problems. The "need" seems to arise quite often...

right now, I really don't have the energy to debate your opinions.....

This thread wasn't about me... it was about this precious little baby... who evidently, is losing his brief fight..... and frankly... I'm just not in good spirits.

I sure gave it my all my friend.
He is respiratory distress now.
Down to 1.7 even with all I fed him.
Unable to pass the tube now.
He's on a heating pad and in
soft warm blankets.

Oh no.... there's only so much heartache this ol' lady can take.....

Wish something could have been done for the little guy..... Ruth is an RN and a respected Chi breeder of many years..... if she is unable to pull him through this - - then baby Duke was meant to be with God.... at least his troubles here have been brief....
