How much is gas where you live?
 
It's $4.33 at Costco here. Which is freakin' ridiculous. I understand it's under $4 elsewhere in the country. What's going on? We have our own oil! We have our own refineries! And Anchorage was ranked #1 in the country for most expensive big cities for gas last week. Sheesh

i paid 3.89 i think the other day. which is lower then its been the past couple weeks. actually got away with spending under $50

Here in Iowa it was 3.61, that still hurts tho. Wish we had a CostCo close to where I live.....!!!!!!!

It just dropped in the past week or so from $4.09 to $3.79

You need to come to central Iowa (maybe for the fair ;) )- it has significantly dropped this week - by like 20-cents at least. Today you can find it for $3.36.

I do sometimes check our local GasBuddy.com - Find Low Gas Prices in the USA and Canada prices. I was in the Black Hills 3 weeks ago - that was the worst - about 4.20 was the worst I saw - but at one station I read that the tax - state, local, etc was .42-cents a gallon :eek:

Here in Iowa they are talking about increasing the gas tax to help pay for road repairs etc. I know if I'm driving across the country - there are certain states I will try to avoid buying gas if at all possible.

Illinois is horrid - when I drive south like to Tennessee - I fill up here and then fill again in St. Louis - so I don't need gas in Illinois - I feel sorry for those of you who live there. :(

Poor Alaska - that really does suck Mike. I don't understand the reasoning for the high prices and after what you just said - that makes NO sense for your state at all. :(

It's around 3.80 here ...It IS ridiculous isn't it ? They make these HUGE announcements about gas prices dropping - then it's a freakin PENNY

then - to make it worse - they said it takes longer to lower prices than raise them - WHAT IS UP WITH THAT LOGIC ? We're getting it from all sides these days - gas - electricity - food - It's INSANE how much everything costs.

I went to buy a melon the other day - FOUR BUCKS for one freakin cantelope ?

Here in the Sacrmaneto area I pump $3.97 at Shell. Pretty good considering it was at $4.50 something about a month ago.

This week in Michigan you can find gas for $3.79 or under by a little. Although we're definitely not as high as Alaska or California, we are now ranked in the top 4 states for highest gas prices (along with New York)!!!!

That's not bad for CA. You guys have a 50 cent gas tax. Our gas tax is only 8 cents

It was about $3.99 just like 2-3 weeks ago. Now the cheapest one near us is $3.51 around the corner. :)

SW Missouri it's $3.36 and has been for about a week. I run my pickup on Propane and it's $2.29.

Jacksonville, Florida it's $3.83 but places like BJ's might be a few cents cheaper. I want the $1.99 a gallon to come back!!

Where I live in Va it's $3.69 right now. I hate getting gas it's depressing!

$3.69 a gal here.............. But like Vi, says ........ EVERYTHING is priced SKYHIGH right now. I paid 40 cents an ear for corn at the farmers market..:eek::eek::eek::eek: (but it was PEACHES AND CREAM..mmmmmmmmm :mtongue: ) I did get a great buy at Walmart for some MICHIGAN blueberries...... $1.88 for a pint! .... and being a former Michigander..... I LOVE MY BLUEBERRIES!!!!!!
........but heck.....$12.00 for LAUNDRY Soap???? Craziness! :crazy:
