You are very wrong about this part. PM's were sent to people, requesting donations, and this is against the rules. The people involved should be very aware of the rules by now. These rules are there to protect people.

The PM that I received told me where to send a donation if I wanted to send one (which I did). It did not request that I send a donation. I could have just as easily ignored it if I wanted to. In addition, the PM did not come from Dena. It was sent by someone who was trying to help Emma and Dena and may not have been aware of the rules. But again, what I received did not request that I send a donation. I wanted to clarify this.

I agree. And, it is not the first such request I have received by PM since being on YT. It is probably the 4th. And all for different recipients.

IMO, just because something doesn contain the EXACT phrasing "asking for donations" doesn't mean that's not what's going on, neither does "who" is making the request. Not that it matters anyway...but that's just my opinion. When I got it, if felt like a request...and obviously I'm not the only one who felt that way.

I personally don't care if I get 50 requests asking for money for what someone feels is a 'worthy cause', if I don't feel that it is, I won't donate. At the same time, if I get one, then I know goodness knows how many other people are too and if I personally feel compelled to voice my concerns about it for whatever reason, just kind of as a "hey, here's something you might want to take into consideration when making your decision" then I certainly will do so.

Let's not play with words; if someone accepts donations, they are requesting donations. It doesn't matter if you request it yourself or "others" do so. Furthermore, many members have been shown to have multiple identities so this rule about not allowing "others" to do it is certainly a valid one. Like I said before, donations of this kind should only go to a licensed veterinarian or hospital where people can be sure the dog is receiving the proper treatment, and it's not just a money making scam. This rule should be the same for all members.

I"ve ready this PM time and time again and not once when i read it do i get a sense of REQUESTING a donation. It lets me know that the option is there.

I SUGGEST (which is 'MY OPINION') some people should re-read the PM and tell THEIR friends to re-read the PM.
