| Thanks for sharing. I usually spend about $300-$400 for one pair of glasses every year and that is discounted with my insurance.

| Just got the pair we ordered for DH. They are perfect. Spent less than $20.00 for a pair that look and work exactly like his $300.00 pair! Awesome.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Get OUTA town! Okay, so I haven't worn glasses in years - but I need some for night driving -- so, what do I do? Do I tell them the prescription the doc gave me? Is that how they do it online? And, I suppose I should go and try some frames on somewhere first - ?

| I'm glad you updated us! I remember seeing this thread when it first started. I'm seeing an optometrist tomorrow and I've been thinking about getting new glasses again. I got a pair last year for $250 because I was still covered under my dad's health plan. Now I'm on my own and my insurance doesn't cover any optometry. I wonder if they ship to Canada. I need to find some cheap contacts too!

| You just need a copy of your prescription from your dr. They give you little boxes to enter the #s and Viola! There are help boxes if you get confused. One measurement was missing from DH's prescription, It even told me how to make the measurement myself. (distance between pupils) I was worried they would be crap, but Hubby loves them. I am gonna order a pair for TV watching and one to keep in the car now!

| I'm glad this thread got bumped back up. When I first saw it, I didn't have the money for a new pair of glasses, even at this GREAT price...but now, I just might have to order me a pair..or two!
