| This also made me angry. I can understand what they said about not being able to see the grooming, but then to make condescending remarks about the fact that she dresses her dog and the whole "a dog is a dog, not a barbie" just pissed me off!!!! They should've just left it at the grooming, no need to degrade someone just because they choose to dress their pet. The pet business wouldn't be a multi-million dollar market if there weren't millions of people whom dress their pet and I'm sure are offended by the remark made last night. That judge needs to make a public apology!!! Ok, I keep trying to register so that I can post a comment on the cbs message board about this topic and every time I click the register button, the site starts working, but then it just goes back to the same page. I'm getting no where and just madder by the minute. I so want to say something, you should read some of the comments. |

Thanks for the link, I can't believe how upset I got when I heard the trainer and the other judge make these remarks that were really hateful. I guess I could understand if the male judge had said something, but it was the two women, and they really were trying so hard to make this girl feel bad about dressing her beautiful little "mutt", who in my opinion is one of the cutest dogs, I've ever seen. She recently had leg surgery so the owner had to shave her, and I think the clothes made her feel a little better about the way the dog's body looked at the time. As far as grooming, you could tell the dog was impeccably groomed; I almost got the feeling they wanted to humiliate the dog. If you hadn't seen it you probably wouldn't believe how horrible it was. I'm not aware of these "studies" that say other dogs can't read your dogs signals if it has clothes on. The tail and ears, and mouth are the three main signals, and you can still see these in clothes, furthermore her dog got along fine with all the other dogs there, so this "reading signals" was just an excuse used by someone who didn't like to see dogs wearing clothes. For her to be in the bottom three because of this was really bad, and I hope the little cutie ends up winning the whole competition, but now I think the mama's going to feel pressure to undress her baby, and it makes me feel angry. I don't even dress Joey that much, I just don't like it when someone bullies and humiliates someone so much for something as unimportant as dressing their dog. I hope all you Crazy Club members unite and write CBS, and tell them what you think.

| I agree...they PISSED ME OFF!!!!!!!! And, like others have said, they made a bigger deal out of Bella wearing clothes than Kenji's owner being SOOOOOO blatantly MEAN to her dog ![]() Wow...that show is seriously offensive....

| I'm definitely going to go leave my opinion tonight! I'm still pissed about it There are so many dog clothing businesses out there too...and I'm sure they wouldn't like if people didn't dress their dogs anymore...I don't even know if I'm going to watch this show anymore

In my opinion it's like Oprah saying she wouldn't eat beef anymore years ago...the beef industry sued her because her comments hurt their industry. Not that the show should be sued..LOL..but a show about DOGS sure has shown negativity towards a lot of dog businesses and dog owners

| I was totally annoyed too!! It bothered me even more because Bella Starlet was so well behaved and it was an obedience challenge!! It's a personal decision to dress or not dress your dog and either once should be respected. Who made Victoria Stillwell the know all and be all when it comes to making that decision?!?I'm going to go post too!
