| I do suppose TX is kind middle again....The weather (and bugs) does throw me though - and I would want hubby to come (plus I need that 2nd person to be able to bring 2 doggies) - with his business, no traveling in the summer, fall is do-able. I don't know if he has been to TX, so I could maybe convince him into a weekend vaca.... How is Sept in Texas??? |

| No, I don't think they allow dogs at all.

| I have another suggestion as far as cities go- Savannah GA. There are several pet friendly hotels (including one on Tybee Island). The beach is only about a 15 minute drive from main Savannah- the only bad thing is that the beach doesn't allow dogs. There is a dog park in Savannah, many outdoor restaurants that allow dogs, and many of the River Street shops don't mind dogs in. One of the tour companies that does different tours around Savannah allows dogs. |

| I would not plan it in Vegas. I have been there for a pet trade show called SuperZoo and there are only 3 or 4 hotels that allow pets in Vegas. One is the Four Seasons at $425 a night and then we stayed at the Super 8, not great but allowed dogs. The Mandalay Bay was holding the function and wouldn't even allow dogs at the hotel!! My opinion is that I won't go somewhere that is unbearably hot, like Chicago or Texas or NYC in the summertime. I don't like the humidity and would not travel all that way to be stuck in the hotel in the A/C. I like the camping idea or having it in a more temperate climate. California would of course be my first choice but Oregon & Washington would be good too. If you had it here in SF we have a SF Yorkie Meetup group with over 500 members and on any given month we have about 80 yorkies show up, so we would definitely have a larger turnout if we had it here. The W hotel in SF loves dogs and we have had some nice events there in the past. Just some ideas!! But I definitely want good weather, not too hot!!

| Oh, I forgot to add that Carmel, CA is very pet friendly!!! They allow dogs at restaurants and it is a leash free beach, which is absolutely beautiful. There are 2 dog boutiques and tons of shopping at little boutiques that allow dogs. There is even a doggie waterfall in the center of town for them to drink. The down side is that it is expensive to stay and it is about 1 hour away from the San Jose Airport. They do have shuttles though. Just an idea...

| I do love San Antonio too! The Riverwalk is so much fun...lots of shopping and restaurants with outdoor seating that allow you to have your dogs.

| Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I vote New York (though that may get up there in $$$ really fast) or Georgia. I KNOW Tucker wouldn't fly well. I really like Whit's idea of having one on the East coast and one on the West coast (on different weekends) so that those who can afford to go to both can, and those who maybe can't afford to fly (or can't for some other reason) don't have to miss out. I also agree with having more time to just sit and talk. The main reason I would want to go would be to hang out with everyone in person.
