| My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please reember that stress can cause or increase hives whether or not there is another trigger. So hopefully, as a family, you can stay calm. I break out in a terrible rash each time someone is in the hospital. Took me three years to finally pinpoint the cause and now that I "know", it's much better. An animal/allergy story from my past. We always had pets. My little brother and I were sick a lot and getting worse. It was finally diagnosed as asthma with bad allergies to all animal dander. At the doc's orders, Mom gave all of our pets away. We were devastated and got worse. The doctor told Mom that stress triggers asthma and allergies nearly as often as any allergen, and that if we were going to be even more miserable and stressed out without our animals, then we should keep them and deal with the allergy problems we had. Mom rounded up all our animals and brought them back home. And although we dealt with allergies and asthma attacks, we lived happily ever after.

| My daughter is allergic to dog saliva, she had allergy shots from age 5 to 17 (her worst allergen is cats). She is 30 now and takes singulair before she comes over. All 3 of her kids have allergies, not all to dogs. Kids get used to the shots & there are alot of kids that get them. Kelly had friends & relatives with allergens(pets) in their homes. We made the decision to go with the shots to take the allergic factor out of the picture to allow her to live as full a life as possible. Prayers for you Denise, to be able to sort this all out & find relief for Lexi.

| Denise, I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Who knows, you may be right. You, Lexi and Maddie may be at this particular point in your lives because God needed a special family of angels to help your next door neighbor. Hugs |

| Im so sorry you are going through this I agree with what was said earlier, you should get your daughter tested to find out what she is allergic to. It may not be maddie after all. She had never shown any reactions to Maddie before, it may not be her.

| WOW, how tuff this must be for you.... I think too, that I would have to at least try to grow Lexi's immune system, for her future.... I dont know much about that type of allergy but from what I have learned over the years, it seems to eventually make it better.... I applaud you for thinking of the lady next door. I would be heart warming to know that you did some good for her as well.... and Maddie would be close to you! Best of Luck to you and your family, I hope things turn out the way they are supposed to! d

| Denise, I am so sorry. I will pray for a better outcome, for something to be different. Prayers also for a successful surgery with a quick recovery I'm not sure if anyone has said this, but if you do go the route with shots - these allergy shots are not like shots any of us receive for a vaccine. They are not deep shots, but more like a little pin prick - but I know no child is excited about shots. And if it was my child, I would also be struggling. Have you asked Lexi about what she wants? Is she so attached to Maddie, that it would be harder for her not to have Maddie in the house than to go thru the shots? You have had so much on your plate, I wish I could do something to relieve your burdens. I will pray for you to find the way here
