| Parents' new neighbors' puppy We had severe thunderstorms last night. My mother called me earlier and said their new neighbors have a puppy they left outside all night long tied to a tree with nothing for shelter Mama's bedroom is on that side of the house and she said that poor thing cried all night long. She opened her window to talk to it, but said she didn't think it could hear her over the thunder. She made my Daddy go over there this morning to tell them that if this ever happens again they will call the police or animal control. The owner works for the city and will get in big trouble if the police are called. Mama is very upset about this. She said all she could think about were my babies and how any time they're upset or afraid everything comes to a screeching halt until they're all right again. I feel so sorry for that puppy. They shouldn't even have a pet if they can't do better than that. Sorry......had to get this off my chest.

| I hate when people leave animals outside, especially little ones!! I would die if I didn't know exactly where Jasmine was at night and I was sleeping! If I wake up in the middle of the night and shes not right next to me I get up to check and make sure she went in here crate or her bed. I couldn't imagine...it has to get cold at night with nothing to cuddle with...

| Oh my gosh, I can't even imagine how scared & wet that dear little puppy was last night. Good for your Dad for telling the neighbors what he did. I really don't understand some people.

| I would have marched over there and asked them to take that baby inside...and...if they didn't want to then I'd ask them to let me take it into my home for the night. I know not everyone dotes on their pets and spoils them silly but there's no excuse for not providing even the lowest level of shelter/care for your pet...no excuse at all. |

She said the owner said he "forgot" the puppy was outside. Mama hit the roof. I can see this will be an ongoing battle between them. My parents are just livid over this situation and plan to talk to the Chief of Police after church today.

How in the world do you forget something like that? I feel so bad for your parents, because this has to be so heartbreaking for them. I have no idea what I would do if I was witness to something like this, but I am sure that DH would have to hold me back with a lot of force... | |
