Mama's bedroom is on that side of the house and she said that poor thing cried all night long. She opened her window to talk to it, but said she didn't think it could hear her over the thunder.
She made my Daddy go over there this morning to tell them that if this ever happens again they will call the police or animal control. The owner works for the city and will get in big trouble if the police are called.
Mama is very upset about this. She said all she could think about were my babies and how any time they're upset or afraid everything comes to a screeching halt until they're all right again.
I feel so sorry for that puppy. They shouldn't even have a pet if they can't do better than that.

Hooray for your dad! Everyone should react like that when they see animal abuse. I would be very upset, too. I hope they will find another home for the puppy since they don't really seem to want it.
