				   | Also does anyone know if Cala Lilies are okay to have around dogs? I know my dogs never mess w/ any of my plants (in the house or outside), but I want to make sure! I like flowers, but maybe will do a plant?

http://www.associatedcontent.com/art..._safe_for.html If you think the receipt might have a dog that will get into things, I would steer clear of these. African Violets, Gerbera Daisy, and orchids are all safe options.

				   | We have used 1800Flowers many times and what gets delivered has always exceeded the pictures. I had a miniture rose bush in a silver container sent to me from there and it arrived a little beat up. i called them and they said to try to save it and they would send another free of charge. The 2nd one arrived the next day! They are awesome.

I've also used 1800Flowers and also been on the receiving end from them. I've been 100% satisfied in all transactions.

Don't go low end though, they really are yucky, I got some once. The picture was prettier. But it is the thought that counts. I like the ones with the smiley face coffee mug, or the balloons. They are nice. And they last longer than the flowers. I got some really lovely flowers from a YT member on my birthday! I LOVED them. And they were NOT low end, as you can see. | It really depends on the occasion. The last flowers that I sent to my sweet Mother, I ordered from [believe it or not] Martha Stewart .... they were Stargazer Lilies with a beautiful square crystal vase. They were shipped fresh cut and the amazing thing ... all total there were about 10 blooms and about 20 buds. My daughter-in-love [who took care of her] said that every single bud opened over a period of about 10 days into beautiful blooms! I was so pleased and happy that Mother was able to enjoy beautiful flowers and that heavenly frangrance for so many days! Other flowers I buy, I just call a florist friend at home who knows my taste and tell him what I want to spend and he always makes gorgeous arrangements for me. Good luck ... I know you will do good!
