Ordering Online Flowers What are some good sites that offer nice bouquets at reasonable prices? I need to have some flowers shipped....but didn't know where to start....there are soooo many to pick from!!! THANKS! |
I don't know but I remember seeing the Today Show do a segment on online flower ordering. It was the week of Valentine's Day. It was to show if you really get what you order or not. Some did send exactly what was pictured and some were a little different. I don't know if they have a website that has info from their past shows?? |
That's wonderful! (aurgh) |
Go to your local floral shop and they do everything for you ! It is simple that way you get what you want. It also cuts out the middle man on line and you are supporting your community....They use online companies daily and they know which ones are reputable. If you want to you can call them first to make sure they offer it.. I have a account with my local florist and I am in Texas so say I want to send to Washington. I call my local florist tell them what I want and they call and do all the ordering and my loved one gets flowers that day all I did was make the call and I get a bill on the 1st of every month! Good Luck Vicki |
Hope this helps! |
I would order from Proflowers.com - they have wonderful flowers and if you click on the microphone in the upper left hand corner and type in danny you will get a discount. |

I have worked as a floral designer in 3 different places! Now days with the debit cards, ect, I would call someplace direct!!! You can find a place online, call them your self with a certain arrangement in mind, or plant , or ask what they have- what's the nicest- or a special they have right now!!( A local place in the area you are sending, too) One of my favorite things is ( pronounced Autr-a- mery's) in a vase- maybe a few mini carnations in,also! Aurt's last close to 14 days- are pretty reasonable- and you really do not need any greenery!! Sorry to say this but FTD,ect- a lot of the $$ go to the service! The new debit card, credit card era, makes this an pretty easy option!!! |

I couldn't find this flower...do you happen to have a picture? |
2 Attachment(s) Attachment 204554 Attachment 204555 Here ya go..it's spelled alstroemeria. I agree with everything a2luckygirl said. This really is a nice flower choice. They are pretty (it's related to the lily), they last forever (about 2 weeks if taken care of), they are fairly cheap, and they come in wide range of colors! |
I am a floral designer too. I agree with what a2luckygirl said about calling a florist with your order. I would google florists in the town that you are sending them to and then just call that store directly. That way, you can actually talk to the designers in that store and come up with something that suites you and something that they have in stock! If you would rather see the flowers first hand and talk to someone in person, go to your local florist and place the order. They will be able to forward the order on to the other town. Here's some ordering tips... *decide if you would rather send a plant or fresh flowers *if going with fresh flowers, do you want them arranged in a vase or wrapped up for the reciepent to put in her own vase (this will be cheaper)? *it's best to be specific but not too picky when ordering- choose a color combination or a flower combination and then trust the florist to do what looks nice! |
These two where rated well on Consumer Reports.... http://www.proflowers.com/ http://www.hallmark.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category2|10001|10051|-108007|-2;-108007|products|Fresh%20Flowers%20&%20Plants The next best thing is to order from a place close to the recipient.... |

Jenn, I wish I could help you with the online ordering...I do think that it sounds like a smart thing to talk directly to a local florist, though. Maybe you could give them a better idea of what you are wantig to order that way. Tammy |
Thanks everyone!!! |
