I am totally, completely annoyed that Michael Johns got voted off and Kristy Lee Cook is STILL in the running. If I have to look at her gold eye shadow for one more week I am going to lose it!!! I really liked Michael Johns and was VERY surprised to see him go.

Tonight my official judging ;) - David C #1 and Jason #2.

im not a huge fan of Jason. I think he's more of a folk-sie/hippie/surfer type. Nothing that wows me, but good in his own way. not an american idol but a good he'll probably put out a good "chill" album

I love Jason ("chill" is a good descriptive word - can't imagine him getting fired up about much of anything), but I think it really comes down to whose album I'd buy. So far, I'm only certain about David C.

OK so whos going home next????.........I think the bottom 3 will be, Brooke, Syesha, Kristin and as much as I like her, I think Brooke will go b4 Kristen and then Kristen next then Syesha. I think it will come down to DAVID C ( whoI think will take it) and David A. Carley will go home in 3rd place but well see, just my opinion. I love David Cook, hes awsome and getting better all the time. And Jason, love him too...but I think he goes after Syesha :(

David Cook was amazing last night!! He is so talented and, I agree!!! - I would definately buy his CD. I think he will make it no matter whether he comes in first or second. I honestly think David A is going to win because of all the tween votes. But David C is the best!! :)

But thankfully i got to see David C... LOVE HIM! He got me all teary eyed when he shed some tears.

Okay, so sorry but I'm finally getting to catch up on this thread.

First of all..... wasn't it Tiny Tim that did that ukelele version of "Over the Rainbow"? For some reason, I have a vision in my head of him doing it. I thought the judges would really ream him for that performance so I was shocked when they loved it.

Second..... I think the AGGIE SPIRIT is at work here. Those Aggies (me included) are voting for Jason. I think it's his personality that does it for me. He makes me giggle. He doesn't always sound so "bright" when he talks but it's so genuine that you have to laugh. And also, it's some of the stories I've heard here on campus about how he really wasn't that great of a singer so his friends didn't exactly encourage him when he decided to go to the audition. I think he's shocked a lot of people - mostly those that thought he didn't have the talent.

And about David Cook..... my husband has had him pegged as the winner from day 1 but I don't like him. Mainly because I'm not crazy about "new age" music and that's what his new renditions sound like to me. I do like his look better since he cut his hair though. The thing I didn't/don't like the most is his attitude. Simon has called him smug, arrogant, etc. and I think also that he comes across that way. BUT the more I watch him, I think MAYBE he's just afraid to let his guard down. I'm really trying to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Yes, he will probably win because he's really very unique but I'd love to see Jason way up there in the finals.

And yes... to whoever it was that asked.... we vote every single time. All four of us use our cell phones and home phone to vote. Isn't 10 times the limit that is allowed per phone number? We are usually voting about an hour after it ends though because we Tivo it first so the lines may be busier right after it ends. I rarely get a busy signal. Keep voting!!! It's the only way to keep the ones on that you like!

There is no limit for AI on how many times you can vote :rolleyes: -- it's Dancing With the Stars that limits it, and maybe America's Got Talent :confused:

I'm not a David C fan either, but I know he has a ton of folks who love him, including lots of YTers -- I'm pulling for David A

I believe it was a Hawaiian guy who sang the ukelele version and he was great. He actually died not too long after that song by him became popular. I would have to google his name to find out because it's not easy to spell. His first name was Israel I think.
