| You gotta see this!!! I just had to share this with everyone yesterday, I went to visit my great dane. He is 7 years old now and I know he only has a couple of years left so I wanted to be sure to see him as much as possible. anyway...Here are pics of my baby. He's sure a big boy now he is 42 inches at the shoulders and 214 lbs!!!!!!!!!! nope...not a typo he is a tad overweight, but when he is fit, he averages about 200 lbs. He is so tall that I can't even straddle him LOL While we were visiting, we had 9 different people pull over their cars and oooooh and ahhhh over him. It really is wonderful to see such a big dog. and he is simply the MOST gentle dog I have ever known. I let maggie get out of the car and see him for a bit while she was going potty and he was so sweet with her. I wish I could have taken pics of that but it was raining and I just couldn't do it all at once next time

| I used to breed danes and he was my stud...and the only one I kept. When my daughters dad and I split up, I had to get an apartment so I rehomed him to the lady that has him now. but I made sure I had "visitation rights" LOL she still tell him I am his mommy it's very sweet. He lives an hour from here so I see him pretty often. but it has been a while. We usually don't visit much during the winter months but decided to get together yesterday

| ah, come on. don't be like that LOL it's no biggie no need to feel terrible. This was a long time ago and i couldn't be happier with his home. She continued to breed him but he is going in to get neutered on monday. He has a growth on his "Package" so they are neutering him. anyway...he has had a WONDERFUL life...has been the couch potato and spoiled baby in her home so I really am not sad about it. He has a much better life than I would have been able to give him if I kept him in my apartment. So it's a happy story

YT 500 Club Member | Our neighbors have a Great Dane. He is beautiful. I always know when he is out because Sophie stands at the patio door and barks her head off! I have noticed that there are getting to be more and more around here lately.
