Wow he is one BIG BOY!! My brother used to have a Great Dane when I had Bichons and my dd was little, his GD was so sweet, but a bit timid, and didn't know what to make of a toddler & small dogs.

Did Maggie even think he was a dog? Maybe she's thinking mom's taking me to visit a horse!

Great Dane puppies at 12 weeks old ...

danes only stay for about 8-10 weeks BUT there are anywhere from 8-12 puppies in a single litter. MAJOR work LOL. it was a lot of work, but i loved every bit of it. I always said I wanted to do it again one day...but I think I will stick to yorkies for a while

I will have danes again...but I think I will shy away from breeding them

he is very tall for a dane

most males average about 36 inches, roughly 165 lbs. so yeah..he is very very big.

yep...exactly LOL I do NOT miss that part at all LOL and the pee...holy moly. if you get a dane that is not house trained...hope and pray you dont have carpet cuz they pee a LOT. I got him at 9 months old and 160 lbs and was told he was house broken. he may have been...but the first thing he did when he got in my house was pee on my brand new carpet. it was a pool LOL. thankfully, that was the only time he ever pee'd inside but it was enough to have me flipping out LOL

For some odd reason the " Pee " thing never entered my mind, but now that you mention it. EEEEEEwwwwwww. I'm sticking with Yorkies.

It just warms my heart to hear a story like that! It is wonderful that this lady has taken him in and given him such a wonderful home and that you still get time with him! That is one loved dog

He is gorgeous and gigantic lol. Great danes are so kind we camp with one we nicknamed handsome .
