Nope! We are trying to do this the smart way, even if it means renting while building or trying to find a new house. We want to move to a less expensive area. We found a house we really like for a little less than our townhome so now we are anxious to get our house listed so this house might still be available. Unfortunately I just started some home improvement projects that need to be finished first.

Our neighbors tried FSBO with little luck.

Around here we pay upto 8% ..that is why we sold our last two homes our self....each time for $20.000 more that we paid.....but I also think we were very lucky selling it on our own...the house we live in was sold by the owners and we found out that you can get a better deal on a house by going with people who sell on their own because they are not paying listing fees....just something to think about.
