Very well said... after I saw this thread I gave the scenario to my 14 year old, so I could once again stress how dangerous it is out their for young people. Weirdos these days will do anything!!!!

Kelli, I hope you do call the police and report this creep, this most likely wasm't the first time he has tried this on a girl.... He's out there and will continue to prey on kids until he gets lucky..... Even though he didn't actually put his hands on you he did do something that warrants being reported.... This will provide a paper trail on him in case the police need a lead for the next unfortunate victim...this will also put him on notice as to stay away from your home....

When I was about 12 I had a man try and talk me into getting into his trunk because he said he lost his keys in there....For some reason this voice in my head screamed "No, don't do it!" and I walked away very fast and never told my parents....To this day I wonder how many girls DID get in that trunk.....

Good luck hun, and use this awful experience as a learning experience as to how to handle this kind of creep the next time.....

You are exactly right... That is what I meant. She started another thread telling everyone she is deleting her account

Well she is 13. And a very scared 13 year old at that- rightfully so. I'm the mother of a 13 yr. old girl and I'd be horrified to think other adults were treating her this way.

Kelli, you had to have known that in posting this thread that all of us would immediately be concerned for your safety. I'm not sure why you got so defensive over everyone's comments. No one was being rude...only telling you that you needed to get help now. Children are kidnapped, raped, and killed every day...so what you described was VERY SERIOUS and needed to be reported right away. That man following you could be very dangerous. So, again, I'm not sure what you were expecting everyone to say when you started this thread, but the comments you got are what was to be expected. And again...only concern for your safety.

Most members here are adults, and many have children...many have daughters YOUR AGE...so again, they were only concerned for your safety

Kelli...I just wanted you to know that I am very glad you that you posted on YT telling us what happened to you!! Hopefully, it helped you to understand the importance in calling the police. As for not doing the "right thing" when the incident initially happened.....I am a grown adult.....I do things all the time that I later wished I would of done differently!!! (we all do) Soooooo....I think you did the right thing by calling your Dad to come get you at BK and I also think you did the right thing by posting on YT!!!! We all really care about you!!
Sweetie....you are only 13 and it is up to your parents to make the majority of the decisions pertaining to you. From you said earlier...your dad has now called the police. Hopefully, the police will be able to locate the man before he actually succeeds in getting a child into his car!!!

I have a 15, 13 and 10 year old and my two youngest do walk to their friends and with their friends and I live in a town of 900...do I think they are 100% safe?? No..but I hope that I have taught them what to do if something goes wrong. I cannot hold their hands forever. I do not blame this young girl for freaking out and calling her Dad OR for hiding...I wonder how many of you would have reacted in the same situation? I hope no one else would be this judged. Remember that she IS a child...a scared one...

I hope that the police were called though...its not worth risking this happening to another girl...at least you can say you tried by calling in your description of his car, his looks and anything else you can remember. If you are ever in that situation again..find an adult!!! If you are ever in a building with this man...scream bloody murder!!

And also a BOLO doesn't mean they go out in check, they say "units in the area of......." so thats why you need to get a description of what hes in WHERE hes at and a tag number! If you don't get the car get the tag, bc they can find the car info with the tag.

Thank you for posting this, I was pretty much trying to say the same thing and someone told me to have some compassion...trust me I don't know who posted that but I DO, and IT WASN'T meant as a rude comment. But now that, that thread has disappeared I don't know who to email...so w/e. I am very sorry that you are going through this and I didn't mean to be "non compassionate" And as I said before I hope that you don't delete your account and this nasty man is caught!!!
