Good Luck tomorrow, Hope it will go well, and he will back safe and sound at home. I have to go through this with Teddy very soon. Uhg I made cabbage Rolls, and corn bread. My husband can just help himself, and doesn't have to miss the game. I'm thinking that I would like to eat at your houses though, your meals sound delicious. Janice

Hi My husband was hoping that San Diego would win, but----they lost. Now, he is gearing up for the second game and is hoping that Green Bay will win. Please avid football fans, don't get mad at me, but I am not interested, so I head for the sewing room, where I made Tootsie a valentine dress, now maybe a St. Patrick's Day dress. Cabbage rolls, are not hard to make. I mix hamburg, and ground pork, sometimes ground veal. Add a couple of eggs, garlic salt and pepper. Wrap that up in the cabbage, and layer them in a big pot. Between each layer I add sauerkraut. Then pour a big can of tomato juice over top, and add a few dabs of tomato paste. And that's it! You can let them simmer for hours. (Smells up the kitchen, though.) ha ha I really don't have any exact ingredients, just whatever I feel like doing. Everybody seems to like them. Give it a try Janice

I forgot the rice. Add rice in with the hamburg. That could have been a disaster. Janice

Hi RYorkies I just wanted to tell you, that you have to get the cabbage leaves pliable, by dunking them in boiling water for a few minutes, or you will never be able to wrap them. When I first started making cabbage rolls, years ago, I did not know this.I decided to make them for company, I tried to wrap them and they would crack and break. I was cursing, and sticking toothpicks everywhere, in them. I called my Mom, who told me what to do. Hope this helps, if you didn't know. Yes, I love to sew. I made my daughter's wedding dress, the flower girl and half the wedding party. It was a real challenge, I started it a couple of months ahead, she would gain a few pounds, lose a few pounds, what a fiasco! It had a v waistline, a scoop neck, and big puffy sleeves, (like the dress Lady Di wore) I'm not sure I would ever do it again. Just try something simple, and you will have it down in no time. Good Luck Janice

Hi ryorkies It's me again. I would love to show the pictures of the dresses that I make for Tootsie, but I don't know quite how to do it. (Afraid to ask cause I don't want to look like a dumbell, and am not all that computer savy.) Janice
