| ![]() I forget which brand we have now but it has a bag. They seem to work better in my opinion. |

| ![]() Bags aren't so great either. I hope yours works out well for you, SURELY did not mean to bring you down. I know how good it feels to get something new and be excited about it, and then be disappointed to hear bad comments, maybe I just got the "runt" ![]() |

| ![]() I'm not sure how much Dysons run but I think I paid a little over $300 for my Oreck. ![]()

| ![]() I have the Dyson Pet and love it. Have had it for 3 years and never had a problem. It picks up dust that you do not even know is there. I have had Orecks, really liked them because they are light. But had to have it tuned up every 6 months and back then that cost $40.00 a pop. Do not even want to think about what it might cost now. I had the $499 unit. (red handle) So I really thought it would be the best! The service man told me that the best ones were the first ones back in the late 1970s. I had that one but threw it out when I got the red one. Then just decided to get new vacuums each year for the same kind of money. None held up well. Then the DYSON came along (just aboiut when the Yorkies did) and I really can give it a 10 out of 10. It even out did the Hoover Wind tunnel one. And it is so easy to clean. Just push that button and let the dirt fall into a shopping bag! You will really be happy with it. The type of carpeting you have may have something to do with it also.

| ![]() The dyson can cost anywhere between $300-500 depending on the model you get. But Bed, bath and Beyond always has 20% off (which you can also use at Linens and Things).. and you can buy it on line and use the coupon and depending where you live, you may save the taxes also. and usually free S&H.

| ![]() I bought the purple Dyson from Sears. They will price match plus give you another 11% off. I got my purple Dyson for just over $400. Customer service has been pretty good so far. They have answered my questions and sent out parts for free. It is unbelievable the amount of dirt it picks up. I had borrowed my sister-in-laws Kirby before I got my Dyson, but the Dyson was so powerful I was still able to get tons of dust from the carpet. I would buy a Dyson again in a heartbeat. |

| ![]() I have a dyson and I love it. no problems with it yet. i was vacuuming up some dust and there happened to be some ripening bananas nearby..... yep, the dyson sucked up a banana and ate half of it before i could get it out. ![]() i used several orecks where i used to work and they were always breaking down and needing something or another. those were the professional ones, too. my dyson came with a 5 year warranty, so if something does happen, hopefully it will be something that is under the warranty. ![]() |

| ![]() I do not have a Dyson, but my daughter wants one so I am reading some of these posts to pass along the info to her!!! I have a Rainbow Vac that I have had for about 6 years. It will suck up ANYTHING!!!...... and I know that after I vac it is CLEAN. For Christmas, my MIL bought an Oreck for me. It is really light weight and great for a person who has back problems. It seems to do a nice job and I will definitely use it often. (I still will use the Rainbow at least once a month to get that deep thorough clean) Good Post ![]()

| ![]() This is a great post, as I have also wondered which vacuum was considered best by you all. I have a Dyson DC 15 ( animal - purple ) and it has been great, but my Brady decided to take a liking to the cord ( not plugged in ) and when I brought it in to be repaired the repair man told me that I was in luck that he chewed so close to the ending of the cord and he could fix it. He stated that it was very difficult to get parts and one lady had been waiting for over 8 months for a part ! I wish I would have known this BEFORE I made my final decision. |
