I have a dyson and I love it. no problems with it yet. i was vacuuming up some dust and there happened to be some ripening bananas nearby..... yep, the dyson sucked up a banana and ate half of it before i could get it out.
i used several orecks where i used to work and they were always breaking down and needing something or another. those were the professional ones, too.
my dyson came with a 5 year warranty, so if something does happen, hopefully it will be something that is under the warranty.
