First of all, are you smiling, thats the first thing that will get his attention. Second, is he watching TV or looking at some type of screen? If so, get his attention with the old Bend and Snap (you know, from legally blond) or ask him if he wishes to have a soda (Pop in oklahoma) or beer. Distract him with something you know that will get his attention. Don't come right out and say what you need or In one ear out the other. I like to see cockerduchess in her denim jeans (but don't tell her that). Posture is everything, chin up shoulders back, men like a woman with attitude. Then, when you have his attention (make sure he is making eye contact...no eye contact no attention) you say something like "Honey, I need you to...(TIP: stretch your hand out to him...we like to be heros)." We men are so insecure we have to feel needed. And I hate to say it, but bribe him with a treat. It took you giving your yorkie treats to get them to learn a NEW BEHAVIOR, so give your husband a gold star on the fridge. When he gets a certain amount of stars give him something for his NEW BEHAVIOR. No lie, a professor gave out stickers on test that made good grades and everybody actually tried harder to make better grades to get a sticker. SO there you go. Look hot, offer something that will get his attention, make eye contact, express you need him,,,offer hand....gold star =treat. If this doesn't work. Offer two stars. Remember, you can get him to learn a NEW BEHAVIOR and if you have boys, this will the best opportunity to teach them how you would like to be treated. But always be a LADY with a smile.

I do have a great hubby, he just does not get the helping out, and he really does not see when stuff needs to be done.. sink full of dishes and he can let it sit there till I do em..

Hmmmmmmm, 28 years, stopped drinking coffee because mom wasn't there to fix it and had five older sisters...hmmmmmmm,,,,you may need to just let the house go for a week and take yourself to a spa. You need a vacation without him. Sunday = Read a book you have been putting off
Monday = Visit someone, a best friend or a family member (hopefully he knows how to use the Microwave)
Tuesday = 1 word = massage
Humpday = Fresh sheets and a long hot bubble bath
Thursday = Coffee by yourself
Friday = Margaritas
Saturday = Hair, Nails, and dress go eat!!!!
You deserve anything and everything entitled to a QUEEN. You're man doesn't know what a great LADY he has and I believe I may be stumped <-- Good Luck and always be a LADY and repeat after me, It is way more than OK to do things that make me happy and to be stingy. SMILE

You are really good and right on. My way works most of the time...."I ain't cha damn momma, now get up off your a** and pick your s*** up"...... (I know, its not "being a lady", but what if I said it with a smile...?). See I don't think I should have to be nice about it or ask please....He made the mess so he can clean it up, I shouldn't have to beg him to do something. I don't care to do all the cleaning and laundry, but I am not picking up after a grown man. To me that is just disrespectful to expect me to do that. It should not be my job just because I am the wife/woman.

I AGREE WITH YOU. You probably work, raise kids, clean house and probably have a head ache more than half the week....you need a ME vacation too.

Honestly, all joking aside, I think it boils down we let our guard down to try to impress you. Sad, I know, but joking about this actually makes me see this. May be we should really dress to impress the other, have more dinners alone, dance more,,,,,just date. I bet your man doesn't fix his hair like he used to, clean his car/truck like he used to do before picking you up. May be we should try to hold hands more often. I don't know,,,,what would you like your husband to do more for you?

Yes you are lucky. Well I am lucky too in a lot of ways. My husband will iron my scrubs for me the mornings I have to work, he will do laundry sometimes, he does cook a lot and he buys me whatever I want. I probably shouldn't complain about picking up after his sorry butt......
