No Longer a Member | I fell in love with one a few years back--it was in Maine. I was so positive I was going to win it too, LOL . I bought so many postcards, and everywhere we went, I mailed a postcard from there--you know, so it would come from a different location and be in a different spot in the drawing bin!! I still can't figure out how we didn't win that one... |

It seems at first, the people did have to pay the taxes. Which is awful, considering they are usually financially in bad shape on that show. So, if I recall correctly, they now have them transfer ownership of the property to the producers of the show--or something like that. And then they "sell" it to them back for nothing or $1 or something like that. I can't recall the precise details, but it involves transferring it back and forth so that it is not the homeowners' tax burden. | |
